Could you guys give me some tips about upper costumes to use with the new Lolita Wig? Given that it's visually bugged, upper costumes usually get overridden by it or can just be seen when zoomed up

There's not many that layer over the wig while zoomed all the way out, in my experience. Costume: Angel Wing and Soulless Wing were two headbands that I've found that work at any zoom level. I'm sure there's others, but anything that floats (Cos: Full Moon, Rainbow...) should be a good choice as well.

I see. Do you know if C. Cat Ear Hat can layer over the wig? If I'm not mistaken, I saw someone using both without any problem

Hmm not sure because I don't have that one or any variants like it. Wouldn't surprise me if Cat Ear Hat layered over Wig though, it's a pretty big hat.

I tried almost all upper costume I have in my storage and sadly Costume: White Cat Ears Hat and the variant didn't work well if you zoom out all the way...

 

The following upper costumes turned out pretty good add more if I'm missing something Q_Q

 

Costume : Ljosalfar

Costume : Vicious stop bandage

Costume : Spell Circuit

Costume : Hopping Rabbit

Costume : Evil Druid Hat

Costume : Mini Chocolate Hat simple but really good looking but in the character screen... meh

Costume : Maestro Song Hat

Costume : Queen Anz Revenge

Costume : Gothic Pumpkin Handicraft

Costume : Isabella Red Ears

Costume : Full moon

 

and for my afk purposes I use

 

Costume :  White Rose Princess sadly, not working well if zoomed out

I got baited for the White Rose Costume because someone posted a pic where it seemed to work well. I've tested with C. Bunny Headdress and the wig doesn't layer over it, except on character preview

But wig is for Lolita style... so bunny is out of question

Not just Charcoal stove... even other costumes too...

Don't forget FAW / AAW / Happiness / Rudra wings. They will pierce your back if you zoom in.
