I know classic is basically dead and this won't make much difference but I'd like to say it anyway: Janeway is a joke and needs to be fixed. The core concept is fine -- allow players to level up more quickly by hunting particular enemies. The issue is that you always hunt the same monsters.
Therefore, most of the low level maps in the game are completely useless. Nobody is going to visit places like ant hell, savages, etc., because you can just get to 50/50 by killing a few janeway enemies, then immediately go to harder places. This means that stuff like pupa cards and various other useful low-level items are almost completely absent in the economy.
Why not just have janeway give players a random hunting ground each time? For example, maybe one player has to kill 20 thief bugs, but another player has to kill 20 willows. It would take barely any extra effort to do this, but instead you are forced to do the same poring-thiefbug-boa-roda quest on EVERY character, and nobody ever visits 50% of the maps in the game.
