Ro2 is a wow clone, the original devs abandon the project and is on life support by warpportal devs

Everything is a wow clone as it was one of the very first 3d mmo. It works very well if executed properly.

on the first part, thats not true, there's successfull online games that don't follow the wow mechanics at all

 

and yeah wow clones can be succesfull if executed well, RO2 is not one of those, by far

 

the combat is boring to no end, you face one monster on a 1v1, stay static in front of him, cycle your skills, rinse n repeat til max lvl
