Since I've never tried it yet, I'm wondering if the hard mdef formula is right at the iRO wiki page.

 

Does 100 mdef guarantee an antifreeze and reduces the magic attack by 100%?

 

Please enlighten me, as I'm spending a huge amount of money just to get it

iRO wiki mdef formula is correct Chesterfield. The part that is true about your statement above only the anti-frozen part for 100 hard (armor) mdef.

 

GTB will be less useful and priced lower if immunity to magic damage is simply achievable through stacking your hard (armor) mdef to 100.

 

The formula above states the cumulative reduction graph, with 125 hard mdef you'll receive about half of incoming magic damage.

i've heard you can't get stone cursed as well? at mdef 100? never tried tho

Adding what DD has said before and to answer your queries, that you shouldn't be petrified / stoned through any means under 100 hard mdef equipment sets.

 

Adding iROwiki links for reference, tbh I never bother to try the petrify effects immunity under 100 hard mdef but by knowing that many knowledgeable iROwiki contributors still updating the page from time to time I'll put my faith on them

 

Let all of us know in case you found out that the facts is diverged from the status effects mechanics posted in iROwiki for better relevancy and reliability.
