Ok so I got scammed in game. I will not say the name here cause I know my post would be taken down. I made a ticket and got a response saying I need to submit screenshot of me and the scammer while on trade. Why cant they just check the trade logs?

Game logs will show the physical trade of items. However it sounds like this trade might have involved something more than that and a screen shot is needed to verify any conversation or verbal agreement that was made prior to the trade itself.

Why don't the game logs show the conversation? They'd be able to see the two users who interacted and find out the names and pull the chat logs to verify. Like I said, it's the players job to do everything other than press the button.

I am fairly certain that no one would want their private in-game conversations on game logs. I know I wouldn't.  

 

At any rate, the burden of proof in the case of scamming rests on the player who says they have been scammed.  When you report another player, you must include documentation of your claim like a screen shot.  Transactions using the gift feature of the Item mall are not encouraged because there is no way for support to verify the arrangement that was made between the parties.
