its been a long time since I've played ro2, (mostly cause my old computer couldn't run any games lol) I see some new systems in place, but after looking though the forms haven't seen anything about the new area and class that was teased forever ago, and was wondering was the idea abandoned or changed?

Hi friend,

Niflheim is still planned, but postponed for now. Since new development took over, the change in philosophy is to fix things first. The past few months have chopped down the Big List of Bugs by a huge margin. Warpportal has been looking into getting more artists, writers, and coders in to help. There are assets in place and a lot of it will just be populating it with monsters, quests, and items.

 

There's also a lot of documenting that needs to be done to know how things work on the backend (because Gravity didn't keep notes). There wasn't much logic to the previous coding and deciphering it isn't the most fun thing in the world. The unfortunate thing is that there isn't much manpower, so of course it will take quite some time. More often then not, I'm seeing the devs stay well past their work hours to do a bit more research and get a bit more done. At that point, can't really blame them - they're taking extra time out of their own lives and trying to do what they can humanly accomplish.

 

I don't believe there ever was a new class teased. Perhaps you're thinking of RO1's Doram race?
