So... I've been really unlucky with my enchanting. Is my RNG like super crap or is the NPC not helping at all?

I can't pass from 4 to 5 and have tried over 10 times now - not in a roll of course, just as my farming allows (700 Cursed Fragments only from 4 to 5 to fail).

RNG. I wasted 2k fragments upgrading acute from level 3 to 5 and it's still level 3.

Felt like throwing money at it one time. 20+ billion in, never got past 5.

 

It rarely ever even got to 5, maybe 3 times during all those attempts.

 

EDIT : Forgot the number of fragments, but at the time they were 4-4.5m each.

I already spent 5k cursed fragments in creating my acute 5 obc. They better restore my fragments before that squirrel hat gets in.

I have mettle 5 x 2 EA and magic essence 5 x 3 EA.

 

One of them went straight from level 3 to 4 to 5 without failure. However, other ones failed many times before getting to level 5.

 

Someone tested on Sakray before and reported on average it takes 3000 fragments or 15B (@5M per fragment) to make level 5.

Just pray to the RNG gods. I did and got ME5 with 240 curseds (got ME on second try and it went straight to 5 without failure)

This is a good zeny sink if they add zeny on top of the enchant :>

Good thing I didn't need Acute for my GX. Mettle 5 is lyf. And my Gene's one was the unluckiest of all - damn Magic Essence.

Entirely RNG, used to spend like 2500 Frag or more to make leve5, but last time I made 2 bio5 hg enchant to level 5 with just lessthan 1k fragments.

this was their new end game if you catch my drift. Made to ensure the players waste a lot of time in the dungeon for their luck based shenanigans so they keep you playing longer than they need to plan new dungeons.
