Today I installed genpatch on my brothers PC. His Rose client wasn't able to update (8,13% problem).

after the instal I got this ERROR:

Patch Client Error
Invalid HTTP Response (patch.roseonlinegame.com:80)
The server may not support HTTP transactions.

Anyone know what to do ?

I did the folowing:

1 reinstalled the entire rose client (multiple times)
2 open genpatch and let it install

once installed I promptly get the message written above...

Than i continue:

3 close and reopen genpatch
4 open genpatch after reboot

Same problem occurred..

Dear readers,

The problem I wrote about (http error) now accurs at my own computer.

Yesterday I played until patchtime. Today I started the game and I get the HTTP response error

Why does it have to be so complicated to run a normal patch? I yust cant believe what everyone is doeing wrong, if you read the forums everybody talks about error this and fail that... Who is failing here ?

I really want this problem to be solved! And please make it more easier for current and new users: download the game, instal the game, open the game, aply patches and play..

I do appreciate the work and effords everyone is doing to make the game work, but sometimes it yust realy bothers me how much diffuclties me and other players experience to yust "play" a game.

Please give a sollution to this problem

(PS1 I'm Dutch so I do appologise for the sloppy english I write, I'm yust hoping that the message is clear.)

EDIT1: the problem occures when GENPATCH is trying to download TROSE.EXE

EDIT2: and I do mind the fact that I have to go true pages and pages of installation information to see if there is a "possible" sollution to my problem...

EDIT3: after numerous open and closing genpatch it got past the download TROSE.EXE part but still gives the same error

EDIT4: I opened RoseOnline.exe to start the original launcher (to try updating). Some updating/checking began, completed, pressed play which was folowed by numerous ERRORS...

EDIT5: Now genpatch is stuck at checking for patches.. :D I think i'll reinstall the game :D

EDIT6: so I reinstalled the entire game. Luckily I had the original download on hand. After installation I installed Genpatch. Genpatch updated itself followed by the updating of the ancient rose installation. No problems untill it reaches the following part: DOWNLOADING 'ULNGTB_CON.LTB', folowed by the know html error...

I wasted more than 2 hours fixing, writing down every step I took. I'm out of options, hopefully someone can help me soon...

Yours, nikst3r
