    A summer event at JRO with an exclusive dungeon to explore and take out rewards like crazy. New gears and zodiac headgears are also introduced.

Story :

It's shocking!! Someone has recently detected an unknown entity inside the large hole of desert!
 
    Area 16, a town of pioneers located at the outskirt of Rockridge. A thunderous roar hashad suddenly echoed and disturbed people out of their peaceful bedtime. A very large hole that people saw spans endlessly until nowhere.
 
    Residents eventually got used to it even if it was an unusual big hole at the first time. No one pays attention to it since it's become merged with people's everydays life.
 
    One day, a strange rumor spreaded out.
    "My cattles mysteriously vanished!"
    "I heard suspicious sounds deep under the ground".
    "I came across an unknown creature in the mid-night".
 
    Once again, people have paid their attentions to the incredibly-big hole at the desert presence of their eyes. No one knows what is inside that kind of thing. To sweep away the uneasiness of the residents, many adventurers have set out to join the investigation group of NMR.

Event's brief explanation

 

Dungeon's Rule

- A special dungeon has been added to the game and is encouraging players to fight and earn reward from mysterious treasure chests everyday.

 

- There are 3 difficulty levels available, Beginner, Intermediate and Expert.

 

- Each difficulty level gives different grade of treasure. Expert, the hardest one, will reward many event-exclusive gears and many high value items.

 

 
- Inside each room in the dungeon. There're 4~5 rooms filled with monsters.
 
- Defeating them will reveal a treasure chest inside the room.
 
- First-time clicking it will reveal the name of trap you're going to be trapped.
 

- Each job has different (determined) level of skill to unlock the treasure chest.
 
- Thief-class > Ninja-class > Archer-class

 

 
- While other jobs can only reveal 1 Hiragana letter of the trap's name, thief class can reveal all of them at once as shown in the picture above. Though, they're not in a correct order.
 
- Player must guess by converting it to Kanji and then answer the correct name of trap, or will be trapped by various kind of traps.
 
- In this picture for example, it's ち(chi)　け(ke)げ(ge)　い(i)　れ(re)　け(ke)　い(i), so my guess is 冷血な一撃 (れいけつないちげき - reiketsu na ichigeki - Coldhearted Blow), the first-choice.
 
- If I answer it wrong, I'll be trapped by the "Fatal WoundFrozen" ailment. There're many traps that causes disadvantages to fight the next room.
 
- Other traps are,

• 死者の祝福 (shisha no shukufuku - The blessing of the dead) : Changes user into Undead for a period of time. Cancels buffs.
• 死者の福音 (shisha no fukuonfukuin - The gospel of corpse) : When died, impossible to be resurrected for a period of time. Cancel Token of Siegfried buff.
• 天地回転 (tenchi kaiten - The spinning perspective) : Inflict "Hallucination" status ailment.
• 緊急警報 (kinkyu keihou - Emergency Alarm) : Randomly releases 1 more wave of monsters in that room.
• 緊急転送 (kinkyu tensou - Emergency Warp) : Kicks player out of dungeon immediately. Must wait for 5 minutes inside the prison or use Butterfly Wing to get out.
• etc. This year by the way, introduces new one : キャストオフ (Cast off : Turn off castingAll equips are taken off. User can put them on again.)

- Moreover, in case player answers it wrong, the grade of tressure is will be reduced, thus lower chance of getting rare items.
 
- Every time player opens a treasure chest, get 1 Tressure Power point.
 
- 20 Tressure Power points can be exchanged to EXP+50% buff. Useful while exchanging crystals with EXP. (will explain in the next picture)

 

The Rewards

- A tressure (OOPARTS - オーパーツ) obtained isn't going into player's inventory but instead, go to Leryuna's storage. (A cute alchemist lady who wears glasses)
 
- A character can only hold 20 treasure pieces in her storage. If it's full, player can't won't be able to obtain anymore treasure.
 
- These mysterious objects must only be appraised by Leryuna.
 
- They can be +2~+8 weapons or gears (Fireblend, Ice Falchion, Gladius [3], Rider's Badge etc so many), Fire Bottle or Acid Bottle or even those rare event-exclusive gears (see pictures below)
 
- Unwanted objects can be melted into Stardrop Point (A name of points used for trading many services in this event).
 
- Player can withdraw only 1 desired item per day from Leryuna. (Reset timer at 0:00am)
 
- Player who joined Safe Refine Event held on May gets extra 1 more chance to withdraw a desired item.
 
- In case the storage is full, player can relog and melt something unwanted with Leryuna and then go back to the dungeon again.
 

 
- The dungeon has 4 floors. B1F, B2F, B3F and the Sacred Altar.
 
- After all treasure rooms are cleared, the "Crystalized Adventurers (水晶体X)" will appear near the boss room.
 
- By releasing them free (hit the crystals), the quest counts the number of crystals collected which can later be exchanged to a very large number of chunks of Base EXP/Job EXP. (Just 2 or 3 rounds can raise from Lv140 to 146)
 

 
- Rune & Mid, instructors from Adventurer's Academy (JRO's training ground), are reliefing from hot weather at the shore located at the bottom right of the event hall.
 
- Talking to with Rune will give player 1,000 Stardrop Points.

 
- She gives 1,000 everyday by the reset timer of 0:00am of the new day.
 
- Stardrop Points can be traded for 3% HP/SP recovery items (with expiry date) or even anywhere-on-this-world (in the game) teleport service.
 

 
- The first time talking with Rune will reward player a free "[Costume] Starfish Balletta". (If you have 10 characters, you get 10 of it)
 
- Talking with Rune only 1 time is considered as "participated" and will give more rewards/privileges when the next seasonal or Christmas event is held.

 

Fragments of Libra & Scorpio

- Each time player withdraw an item from Leryuna, she always gives player options "2 Libra fragments" or "2 Scorpio fragments"
 
- 200 of them can be exchanged for the true version of Libra or Scorpio at GravityGravius.
 
- True version of Libra & Scorpio have set bonus with 2 new zodiac headgears introduced. (See below)

2. Rhapsody of the Ragnarok Online <-- Was about to say it's quite outdated but I suddenly see the updates on his/her homepage. It finally is!!
 
    Or, for the period of 1-165 you can see my JRO Sura series (lol  ). Each part explains everything.

    On July 10 until now, JRO has got an Illusion Dungeon update part 1. There, people are using 2 new illusion dungeons to quickly raise their levels from 170 to 175. I read from Weekly RO Challenge website (Japanese, as a self training, lol) that the part 2 is coming this August.

    The original concept One of the original concepts of "Illusion Dungeon" at Korea's RO to reduce the problem of Level Difference Penalty is the dungeon without Level Difference Penalty. The Korean version will normally reduce rewarded EXP depending on how far different the player's level is compared to a target. This rule isn't applied to the Illusion Dungeon and thus, the leveling is faster and easier.

    However, In our Japan version, we have never used this rule since the beginning. So, we have to think on our own. What is the concept feature of our Illusion Dungeon in Japan's RO then ? To make it special We'd like to leave the point of easy-leveling as it is and then add it as the first time "No Death Penalty" dungeon in our server.

The description of JRO's Archer Skeleton Card is somewhat more specific though.

This makes me guess, it has no effect on any weapons else even if it's long-ranged.

Thank you for checking OBBO, and I suppose the archer skelly card only working on bow weapons elucidates that perhaps jRO doesn't have "ranged mod works on all skill/attacks that are ranged, regardless of weapon".

 

This makes me think, if we ever do get the staff of Puffy, that spell fist sorcs will get a whole new mod to play around with on top of what they already have.

What is good about this event ?

    When the purple box comes out (rare), everyone just gets it. Everyone in the group equally has a chance to get random rare items (but in the same tier/degree of rare). There's even no need to put item share on since everyone just gets it.

 

    The dungeon has 1 hour limited time. Within this hour it's possible to re-enter and repeat the same steps (kill monsters --> decode the password --> get the item --> loop)

    For 1 round of 1 hour a 1 hour round, it's possible to get purple boxes up to 7 or 11. (This is very dependent on real life luck. Only 1 purple box is possible - lol)

This round for example, I got :

• +3 Goz Armor [1]
• +5 Shoes of Demon Exterminator
• Goz Gauntlet [1]
• +6 Libra Crown [1]
• Goz Gauntlet [1]
• +7 Gardener's Shoes
• Bradium Brooch [1]
• Goz Gauntlet [1]
• Operational Gloves [1]
• +4 Fallen Angel's Shoes

Average 6-7M each is expected.

 

    Only those who are 165+ have this kind of joyful chance when a seasonal event is held at JRO. That's the main reason Gungho intentionally design the game so that anyone can get to 168 real quick.

    JRO's GM team would like to test if there's a glitch on the system / how much load the server can handle at a time. The server named "Yggdrasil" has been opened and will be staying until August 7 (The weekly maintenance date)

 

- The system will be opening for public stress-test on August 5 (sun), 2018 22:30 - 23:00.

- Player can create a character on Yggdrasil server beforehand.

- No 30 days subscription needed on the test server.

- Items that can be transfered are limited. Not every kinds of item are allowed. (特定のアイテム)

- Player who involves the public test will get 2 Bubble Gums on August 21-31 at NPC "Gimlet" at Izlude.

- The GM team isn't deleting player's characters created on the server.
