So, I've been trying to figure out if I can manage to get Insta-cast without resorting to a Flattery Robe since I think Abyss Dress is fantastic, and also I use a lot of different armor sets.  

(That being said, is the Flattery Robe strong enough to be the primary armor to wear around for PVM?)

 

 

This is what I hope to achieve with my gear -- most of which I have, some I wish to obtain.

 

Gear

 

Headgear: +14 Old Midas Whisper [ALL STATS+1] + [Dolomedes Card DEX+2] or [Darklord Essence of Concentration 3 DEX+4]
Headgear Enchant: ME5/ DEX / INT (This is probably the most flexible since getting a godlike OMW With ME/DEX/DEX is pretty much impossible) 

Mid: Sera Coronet

Lower: Jinn Marin [DEX+1 INT+1] (I personally would prefer Toy Syringe in this slot -- but if you NEED the dex, this is an option)

Armor: +9 Abyss Dress, +12 EDA, +9 FDA

Weapon: +13 RTE Triple Liberation / Whatever else

Shield: +12 MBS

Garment: +9 FAW EA10 Shooter

Shoes: +12 Temp Dex RM/EA4 [DEX+12]

Accessory 1: Temporal Ring [ Zerom Card DEX+3 ] or [Darklord Essence Concentration DEX+4]

Accessory 2: PDM [ Zerom Card DEX+3 ] or [Darklord Essence Concentration DEX+4]

 

Costumes/Shadow Gear 

 

Upper: Creative Convention Hat [DEX+1, INT+1]

Middle: Costume [DEX+1]

Lower: Doesn't Matter

Armor: +9 Dexterous Shadow Armor [DEX+3]

Weapon: +9 Dexterous Shadow Weapon [DEX+2*] *Added DEX+1 for the set

Shield: +9 Safeguard Shield

Shoes: +9 Liberation Shoes

Garment: Doesn't Matter

Accessory 1: +9 Intelligence Earring [INT+2*] *Added Int+1 for the set

Accessory 2: +9 Intelligence Pendant [INT+3]

 

Bonuses

 

Job Bonus: +12 INT/ +8 DEX

PDM Bonus: +15 INT / +15 DEX (90 STR/ 90 VIT)

+12 Temporal Dex Boots (RM/EA4): +12 DEX

Temporal Ring: +40 INT

Old Midas Whisper: +5 DEX / + 5 DEX (Best-possible) More reasonable would be +3 DEX / +3 INT and this is what I'll be using for the calculations, All Stats +1

Lower Headgear: +1 DEX/ +1 INT

Costume/Shadow Gear Bonuses: +6 INT / +7 DEX

Card Bonuses: Zerom +6 DEX, Dolomedes +2 DEX or Darklord Essence Concentration +12 DEX 

 

INT: 120 + 12 + 15 + 40 + 3 + 1 + 1 +6 = 198

DEX: 120 + 8 + 15 + 12 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 7 + 6 + 2 = 174 * 2 = 350 

 

196 + 342 = 548 (556 with Darklord Essence Concentration3 **Please beware; once the essence is put into an item -- you cannot remove it!!)

 

So, this give us 9-13 DEX or 18-26 INT to work with. Likely something that could be swapped from the Shadow Gear like Dexterous Armor/Weapon and Kingbird Set for 2% ranged damage. We could also perhaps use another enchant on the costume (Like ATK+1%). Could also give us leeway with a poorly rolled Old Midas Whisper. Better yet, we could get rid of one of the Zerom Cards or Darklord Essences to add the Gold Scaraba Card.

 

But it seems entirely possible to get Insta-cast without the Flattery Robe which is what I was concerned about. Obviously this doesn't take food and buffs into account -- which would make a lot of this a little simpler, but I wanted to work with a formula that allowed me to achieve insta-cast without relying on food or buffs.

 

My question is also: Is the Flattery Robe strong enough to be worn as the main armor to achieve insta-cast?

Ooh, those are also excellent options

 

And thanks for catching the Temp Dex mistake! That opens up the formula to remove other non-essentials like another Zerom Card! 

I'll make the changes on the current formula

 

*Edit  Upon closer inspection, I had the dex wrong on the gear list -- but I had input it correctly when adding up the bonuses!

ah, adding something minor, to save cost, no need to +9 dex shadow weapon and +9 intelligent shadow earring, +0 works just fine for the set bonus

Although I do like having everything be consistent -- and getting a +9 shadow gear isn't too bad during this Shadow refine event

I'm guessing via +27/30 dex/int food since you can reach insta cast without foods but you need flattery.

instant cast was possible way back then, before a lot of today's staple gears existed. Why the surprise '-'

I can reach insta cast right now, with vip buffs but would be nice not to rely on those for when I do solo ET. If I really want to, I could just use Temp Rex Hawkeye + Temp ring. Dmg suffers but get insta cast easily or I could go Temp Rex RM + Cylinder I guess.

In the end, I am just looking for ways where I can have insta cast via stats with full dmg gears. I am almost there, going to need +12 Temp dex RM/EA, dex costume and be lucky with Omw enchants.

If you look above, I outline how you can achieve insta-cast without Flattery with no food/buffs with using only items. Obviously with foods and buffs you have a lot more lee-way.

Hm, found out we could use Dolomedes Card in the headgear slot as well to give us even more lee-way with attaining insta-cast. I've changed the formula to reflect that.

 

So, we now have about 6-8 DEX, or 12-16 INT worth of wiggle room for swapping out gear for more ideal items.

Lucky for you, you don't HAVE to put the dex card in the headgear. This is actually just other options to get DEX that you may be missing. If you need Engkanto, assuming you're consistently running Faceworm, then sure, keep the Engkanto.

 

This is just to let people know what they can use in-case they can't afford to lose dex elsewhere.

 

Also, this is to get insta-cast without food and buffs. No one's saying you can't use either of those things if you need to make up Dex somewhere.

Hahaha I had no idea clans were a thing! Well, I mean if people are truly desperate that's also an option!

 

I just updated the list with the Jinn Marin Balloon as the lower headgear if people are hurting for DEX options.

Good point -- I'm also hesitant to put DLE into items because they can't be decarded. I'll make a modification to the post! I didn't realize they were all slots that's an extra 2 DEX !

so you can't remove DLE from accessories?

 

The new accessory that combos with Hero Trade Mail allows you to have more int/dex in exchange for PDM and armor flexibility. Not the best option but still an option.
