Class animation delay working as intended?

There are some expensive items I recently bought only to find out they don't work in regards to after-cast delay reductions.

 

Female mechanic

 

 

 

 

Male Mechanic

 

 

 

My level 125 male mechanic shouldn't be out-dpsing my 144 female mech...  Somethings not right.

You are using 2 chars with different gears and stats dude, the aspd affects animation delays, the aspd's are different, therefore the animations are affected by it.

Last I checked 154 is not higher than 166...

Oops!  The male mech has a 2h axe.  That would explain it.  But how would that explain magic strings having no affect on it whatsover?

Male mech has 151 aspd.  Look closely at the hotbars attack-delay.

Your aspd is low to the point that your animation is longer than your delay, thats why strings "don't affect you".

151 aspd attack interval is of just slightly above 1 attack per second.

How can I calculate my animation delay? There's some info about each animation speed and all of those things? For instance, if my aspd is 190 aspd and I have 0 delay, will I able to spam 5skill/second? Or it depends on a intrinsic animation delay?

50/(200-aspd)=attacks per seconds
and for the most part, yes

Doesn't explain that I get the same arm cannon/second with 170 aspd.

Do you know about RK DBing, Ashuckel?
Pretty sure that even though I manage to get 189~190 ASPD and IC, I don't even get close to 5db/sec (and when I get hit, I spam faster), unless I kite or get hit, however for those cases I don't think that the aspd is strictly necessary.

shield is heavy thats why your female mech have lower aspd ...

Apparently no one is understanding or even paying attention to the Replay videos I posted of a lower level male mechanic with no shield and the same weapon/gears is doing more DPS than the higher level female mechanic with the same weapon/gears (no shield).

 

You can't animation cancel doing arm cannon on the female mechanic.

 

Its not my ping or computer.  I produced the 2 videos on the same machine.

Arm cannon is one of those skills whose client side animations aren't affected by aspd except in a few special situations. Therefore most of the time only the base animation speeds (specified in the client's data files) matter. These are:

Male mado mechanic casting: 6 frames, 100ms delay
Female mado mechanic casting: 6 frames, 200ms delay

And this is why a male mechanic can spam faster even if he has 160 aspd vs. a female mechanic's 193 aspd (for example).

Checking some files on this end, I can say there is something off with the sprite actor files.

Will make a report and mark this as a bug.

I was actually stating for that guy who was saying 5 DBs per second.

 

No comments on the animation cancelling.

 

As for the ping and computer, even with the same machine there could be difference. For example CPU usage and also the speed of your network at the time of different recording. Its unlikely you get a constant speed/ping at all times.

 

With that being said, sorry for the confusion. I should have quote that guy instead.

Is there any other skills that works this way ren? And male vs female on those skills, which is better?
