Can we get a disclaimer on what 'acceptable direction' is or what qualifies as an acceptable direction?
There's a a rather ....large, number of threads that have been locked with the given reason that "Due to the direction of thread/conversation/etc, we're locking the thread."
What qualifies as acceptable.
Also, if it's shorter, what qualifies as 'unacceptable speech/topic/direction?
It's pretty hard to deduce what we are and aren't allowed to talk about when threads are being locked for not violating any rules, and the posters are being 'warned', when these whims aren't clearly defined. Also, I don't use that term [whim] mistakenly, from my personal observations, the definition of 'acceptable' and 'unacceptable' things being discussed seems random, obscure or based on personal interests, varying in enforcement, definition and punishment between all Official and Official-Non-Official volunteers.
Some clarity would be appreciated in what we're allowed to discuss and how we're allowed to discuss it. I think it would also be helpful if we could know specifically individual interests and triggers, so as to avoid being deemed unacceptable by individual staff and volunteers. If we have to jump through the hoops, it'd be nice to know which hoops, how to jump through them, and who to obey when told to jump.
Cheers.
