Hi all,

 

I have a level 129 GX that I've been leveling with Meteor Assault, with the following Equipment:

• +9 Vanargand Helm (thinking of carding with Marduk for silence immunity)
• Pirate Dagger
• +13 Double Malicious Crimson Katar (neutral) (have an uncarded +12 holy as well)
• +9 Immune Heroic Backpack
• Nab's Cloth (one fire element, one shadow element) with basic FS/str enchants
• +7 Enforcer Shoes
• Phen accessory 
• Verus Core (Gold Scaraba card)
• Malicious shadow equipment

My questions for MA leveling are as follows:

1. At what point can you abandon the phen accessory? How do you get instant cast, in order to make that possible?
2. For an accessory, are Blacksmith's Gloves (for skill delay reduction) better than other options? Do you guys typically use PDM, or what to strive for?
3. What middle/lower headgear do you guys like? Is there a better option than New Wave Sunglasses and a Tengu Scroll?
4. Stats are 90 base STR, 90 base DEX, 90 base AGI, and roughly 60 points in VIT, though I have some unused stat points. Where would you put them in from here on out? I'm thinking of maxing STR for Blacksmith's Gloves, but I'm not really sure what to do. My goal is just to have fun and farm PVM instances eventually.

Could ditch the phen accessory and use love piece for lower headgear? Keep the new wave. You want at least 30% or so delay reduction. It's possible to get insta cast with ME level 3 on old bone circlet I believe (but that's 170+.. so doesn't help a ton for leveling). Depends on what you want to do long term for stats as well. If you plan on doing rolling cutter w/ that crimson katar or if you're going to go aspd crit, or if you want to just keep using MA. I personally prefer a str/luck build to take advantage of mob scarf and PDM (as well as temp luck), so I have 114 str and 126 luck on mine. 90-100 agi should be able to get 193 aspd w/ the right gear so that's fine, vit's good as is.

Use the search function(or do it manually) for threads in regards to Meteor Assault in this subsection. There will be tons of examples of what to strive for in the end game. See what you will use and how your stats will look like in the end, and just go towards that. Said it on discord already, but these stats are pretty much enough to 175 your character, anything you get is just for extra gear effects/to get that stat to where you want it to be at max lvl.

• Phen accessory should be valk drop. abuse it while you can
• Verus Core (Gold Scaraba card)
• Malicious shadow equipment

2. For an accessory, are Blacksmith's Gloves (for skill delay reduction) better than other options? Do you guys typically use PDM, or what to strive for? BSG is better than PDM if you're an MA type because of the CDR which gives you more dps
3. What middle/lower headgear do you guys like? Is there a better option than New Wave Sunglasses and a Tengu Scroll? honestly imperial F set is better, new wave + toy syringe is good too
4. Stats are 90 base STR, 90 base DEX, 90 base AGI, and roughly 60 points in VIT, though I have some unused stat points. Where would you put them in from here on out? I'm thinking of maxing STR for Blacksmith's Gloves, but I'm not really sure what to do. My goal is just to have fun and farm PVM instances eventually. why do you need str for BSG?

If you dont want pdm, go for +9 mighty black threaded armor. Its really cheap compare to pdm. You get +80 atk and 70% hard def bypass. Together with enforcer shoes you would have 90% hard def bypass. You dont even need to up your luk unless you're hybrid MA/crit build. Pdm is a better choice if you're also doing crit build to take advantage of your high luk.

For mid and lower headgear, new wave sunglasses and love piece is good since you cant instant cast yet until you lvl 170. If you reach that level, you can use Old bone circlet with ME3 enchant for instant cast.

Valkyrie drop is good for you. Go for it

For weapon, i suggest tripple malicious red twin edge main hand and 4 slot dagger with 2 racial and 2 size multiplier card. If your budget is not good, stay with crimson katar. Changing your weapon is should be your last priority since your current weapon is fine

+10 Devils Hand with EDA also another alternative.

 

You get free accessory slots and can focus on pure damage status builds, it enable single MA to take out most of low-mid-high monsters with proper elemental converters / weapons.

my maxed GX has stats and equips as follow

+12 old bone circlet MA3 enchant (gives instacast) usueable at lvl 170 cost around 1.8b to make
imperial feather set, with 120 agi this will give a nice atk boost, and easily reach 193 aspd for hybrid if you ever wanted
+10 Evil dragon armor, general armor for general mobbing useful all around (also carry abyss and icefall for mvps)
+15 holy crimson katar (current have drake and hunterfly) but the cards are up to you, the katar itself is enough damage for basically anything
+10 phreeoni wing, adds 200 hit, super nice when leveling because you will not miss anything
+7 enforcer shoes, when maxing all the skills or the bonuses you should easily hit around 500k
Jupiter ring, with 125 luk you get a huge amount of atk and 15% more to bosses
PDM, just for general fill the slot get a few extra stats
malicious shadow set, this is a must if you dont want to use many potions etc otherwise dont bother, i survive without it most of the time too

STATS
75 str
120 agi
91 vit
1 int
30 dex
125 luk

i have also done 100vit build with less luk and higher dex, works out to be around the same damage, i go with this current one for agi crit hybrid possibility.

currently doing around 800k MA easily

with +12JDR and dogtag was doing around 900k-950k

Haha. I thought this was a legit question for this year. I would believe that OP already had achieved the best build for MA if he's still playing.
