The Mob Respawn Problem: Autocasters issue?

I remember we dont have this problem before, and if we do, not so severe like the last months.

 

I am talking for the Low TI Respawn. Some points to consider in this thesis:

 

  • Rarely had this issue before the Mad Bunny comes to iRO.
  • It gets severe but not at a critical state. It change a bit when we have the Lunar Rainbow Implementation.
  • It start to be a thing on the last months when suddenly the ammount of AFK leveling players starts to raise.
  • We do not have this issue so hard in the Rybio Quest from Gramps, so few people can indeed AFK on rybio.
  • GMs have been claimed it is due to some "empty spaces" unable to reach at the map (reference? I remember I read that some time ago from a staff member) But I doub it is becouse of this reason.

What makes me think, is that Autocasters killing mob may occur in a bug wich reduces the respawn. Its just an assumption and I have no proof on this, just my experience leveling at low TI for many years.

 

With my topic imlooking the following things:

  • Give a hint to staff if they have no idea about the root of the issue.
  • Give a suggestion on zone restart at the middle of the Maintenance week (Monday morning maybe?)

There must be many topics aboit it, I know, and if you come to reply this topic, be nice, and be constructive in what do you think will be helpful for the staff to solve it, if you notice something that might be causing the issue or whatever

Low TI and Nogg road always have this spawn issue , other then SG or mob die in freeze status ,ME also make this happen alot , when the monster die in moving also cause this happen

assuming it has something with the freezing mob. it could be, but it do not explain why it dont happens very often before (before some years we always have wizzies with SG) and now its a issue we face every week. Yes the freezing mobs may be a issue wich causes this, but i dont think its the only one issue.

i did try autocast tank at juperos ( sura ms ) so far i didnt notice the low spawn rate ...

back a few weeks ago , now im not sure .... cos been busy doing dailyz ...

Seriously warportal/gravity, whatever the hell cause this problem, you have to fix this asap. I couldnt even finish one low ti quest at the same time when in the normal run i could ve completed double ti back to back(as a puller mind you, puller often have slowest count completion).

And definitely didnt just log in just to see an empty map..... This is so frustrating.

I went the other day and it was fine. Saw a few autocasters but not enough to matter too much. Not sure where all the complaints are coming from, especially the one that says low TI is an empty map. ?_?

more ppl = more killer = thats mean spawn rate increased = thats make mob feel many in map

low ppl = less killer = spawn rate low = thats will make u feel not much monster in map

If autocast was a problem, sunken ship would be dead and its not.

 

Specific maps seem to have a problem with decreased mob respawning over time. Autocast is almost certainly a scapegoat.

how many mobs in sunken ship actually can survive the hit of one of the freezing spells? Not saying it's 100% the culprit, but i did noticed some funny things with the status when playing with my WL with a stupid spam of Jack Frost.
You can hit and freeze/break enemies so fast that they will just tele as if rude attacked, because the AI will not move on to chase mode fast enough. I wouldnt doubt if something similar happens that the game will recognize the monster as frozen instead of dead, if you happen to hit and kill it just as it is about to get the status, wich shouldnt be too uncommon for some more recent autocasting setups.

But, yeah. 80% of the issue are with the maps themselves :T

Idk, my most recent video I did it with the new evil sword (autocast frost nova) for 24 hrs and didn't notice a difference. And with a respawn rate like SS has, the effects should have been visible already. Of course, it may be masked by the fact that pirate skeletons cannot be frozen, so a decrease in whispers and kukre would not be noticed as much.

 

As far as Warlocks being the culprit, I have some doubts as well.  I am not sure what behavior you observed on your WL though. I wouldn't doubt freezing can work in some buggy ways. I'm also reminded how icewall creates dead cells when you spam it and clear it rapidly. Id be interested to hear more. Is Scaraba widely considered a good leveling spot for Warlocks to level with Jack Frost? Because by the end of the week there are like 0 Scaraba anywhere. Reflect users definitely don't want to freeze down there either.

 

If the observation is that autocasting setups are "freeze-bugging" monsters into a bad state, there would have to be a lot of people reflecting with some auto cast freeze. *Usually* when you autocast you dont want to freeze the mob, since you want to continue proccing autocasts by dealing / receiving damage.

Auto-Frost Nova + Storm Gust from various gears are what causes it, not Jack Frost.
