Regarding Supplemental Chip for Axe Mech Build

Hi.

I am not sure if this has been asked/tested before but would Supplemental Chip bonuses work for Axe Mechanics? For example, if I invest in Arm Cannon & Pile Bunker Level 3, would I still get the benefit of 30% cast reduction delay as well as STR/VIT/DEX +5 & 100 ATK?

 

If that's the case, 2 x Supplemental Chips even on Axe Mechanics would be pretty ridiculously strong wouldn't it?

Yes it would work.

 

No, it's not the best accessories for axe mechanic.

 

Def penetration will always trump 100atk so PDM is needed.  Arquiens will always beat PDM in 99% of cases.  It's BiS for Axe Tornado.

 

There's no cast delay you need for the skill you are going to use for axe. 

 

The best setup for axe tornado leveling is:

+10 Workers cap or flapping happy wings

Mob scarf

EDA

Malicious Tornado Axe.  True howard only if you can One-Shot mobs.

Temporal Str Boots

2x Arquiens of mad berserker.

 

For MVPing instances, You're stuck with the supplemental armor set and Sea captains hat for Axe Boomerang.

 

 

 

The reason Arquiens and worker's cap is BiS, it's a skill modifier.  It works the same as a True Seyren or any other cards that increase a specific skill's damage by a %.

Considering that you would wear +10 Work Cap for defense penetration, 2 supplemental chips with the right skill investment would provide 200 ATK (+100 if you use gold scaraba) wouldn't it? That's a pretty massive attack boost no?

it is if you're level 100-120 range so you don't get much arquien necklace boost.  I'm talking about 150-174 range after turn ins which is a breeze really.

 

If you watch PVM videos, you'll notice on physical classes that PDM and top end accessories don't have gold scaraba.  They are slotted with Kafra blossom because the end-game is bio5 farming and WoE but woe is dead.

 

20 equip attack isn't much at all when your attack is high anyways.

Actually cory just gave up on axe tornado mechanic, I saw your mech sells +10 Power Storm Tornado Axe and pair of Arquien Necklaces earlier in eden 1st floor :heh:

Just go with Work Cap, that cap is the BiS from early mechanic till end game for both AT Mech & Mado. Axe Boomerang Build better use Sea Captain hat.

Supplemental Chip work for both Mech, as long you fulfill the effect prerequisite you can get all the effects mentioned in the item descriptions.

but strictly for AT use, arquien necklace will perform better than supplemental chip, as cory have explained before in his post.

Well AT Mechanic sux right???? I was building it as well.. But I dont see any amazing damage 

Level 148 AT Mechanic str 116

+10 Power AT Axe, Temporal ring + Bear Power, Arquein Necklace, FAW full FS, +10 Work cap, +9 Fire Dragon Armor

 

1 AT around 65k-75k.. 

 

I have seen a video on youtube which is a 185 Mechanic AT, has no cast delay and cooldown at all, and his AT damage tick so fast..

 

Im wondering if aspd affect the speed of AT per tick.
