Hey guys, what is the best enchant for gene? Full int? Full dex? Magic Essence? Mettle?

I've seen people say that Magic Essence is really not that great.

I've also seen people say that a high int enchant provides more dmg to their CC than Mettle, is this accurate?

I realize is very hard to perhaps test all variations but if anyone has done it and wants to share, would love to hear your results.

The "best" is up to each person. All options are valid and it's just a matter of preference.

Int: Best CC damage, some cast speed
Dex: Best cast speed
Str: Overall damage, best for Acid Bomb, good for CC too.

*Keep in mind "best" is by no means leagues ahead in terms of damage, is just slightly ahead.

Mettle: Damage and damage, damage, everything, damage.
Magic Essence: Acid Bomb cast reduction, slight damage with it

Pick whatever you like the most.

I see, I am thinking that a combination between int and DeX is probably best then. Shoot, I had a good enchant initially then, but I wanted mettle 5. I still don't have it.

Is the difference between mettle 5 and full int that big? Does mettle wins? For CC especially.

Do people still use  acid bomb? Or is the cost just not worth it compared to CC?

ITT 70k per skill use is cheap

To be fair, in our current economy 70k is very cheap relative to something like the cost of a bm.. 18m or HE gum, similar price. 

 

I think you could probably skip out on the dex portion if you're running temp ring + PDM, as you should get instacast or close to it without foods. My dream would be int/int/mettle but we'll see!

if you dont have high end gear

you will waste you zeny

70k per use of a skill is not cheap, especially when you'll have to use it several times being generous on one monster.

Gotcha Bean. Thanks for the input. I do have temp ring and pdm.i do get insta cast with just VIP buffs. I guess are can always wait for 185 update lol. In the mean time, I will sacrifice a couple of slots to run permanent insta cast, without VIP buffs for et purposes.

Yeah, int int mettle would be pretty dope!

Go get ME5/Int5/Int5.

Your damage will be awesome. And you will never see cast bar anymore, even for AB, FCP, and etc.
