Hi guys, I want to try RO2, but I have a question ... it's better to do the story to get experience and equipment or it's like RO1, just kill monsters

For your first character, I would recommend doing the quests to get an idea of the story and the areas. You will have grind in the middle stages of the game anyways, so you should try to enjoy the quests while you have them available. Strictly speaking however, it is faster to just kill monsters, especially on weekends and during EXP Boost events that are quite frequently available.
