I'm thinking to make a Ranger, but what class do you guys recommend for soloing mvp (like soloing ET)? do they need lots of expensive gears? Thank you

I kill MVPs as Warlock, Geneticist has the best overall with the proper gears, and we are talking about billions of zeny on different gears for a total overall sucess.

If you are low budget 2-3b go with rg, rk they are pretty cheap . 10b ish medium budget ranger, gene, sura. High budget over 100b go with gx

Rangers can hitlock some mvps and only take damage from slaves by having the right aspd. Heck a hunter with 188 aspd can solo garm with enough potions. My ranger has hitlocked drake, detarus, ktul and ifrit with high enough aspd, you just have to deal with their slave's skills. (Especialy ifrit's)

Really depends on your playstyle preference. I personally want to look cool and smexy so I use RK and GX to solo MVPs. Check my vids.

RANGER-AS or Hybrid Build
Why:
+less than 1 or 2B (all gear, prism are important)
+can access high burst damage earlier (999,999 are possible). Most MVP are JOKE because they will die either one or three shoot of your Arrow Storm.
+earlier instance farming (OGH/Charles/FW can be access immediately as your level fulfill requirement)
+can farm ET efficiently (I start at lvl 125).
+can solo bio 4/Nct/Gold Scaraba.


Make sure using prism scarf if you want to do all of it.

GX need high level to and gear to farm themselves.
Gene need both high level of char and homonculus becuase they max HP are very low.

It depends on where you wanna camp mvps. Coz there’s a lot of competition and some of them are being campitored 24/7. Nightmare amon ra = ohko sura.
Et = I use rk w/ temporal rings and tgl + scrubs + new wave sunnies or if you’re rich, you go for kiel. But I only finish till abysmals floor 76.
Instance like fenrir/worms/ogh = gx
Gtb = rk
Low lvl mvps = any job but most geneticist

Get a crimson spear. Overbrand is pretty powerfull on stuff that can't get knocked back and 70% of the mvps in the game are pretty damn easy.
