I just recently came back to RO and I've noticed my main, a 143 AB, does a lot less damage with ME than it used to. In the past, I've mostly relied on my +12 Shrine Maiden Hat with a a Katherine Keyron card to carry my ME damage to 50k per wave, but now with the same gears I'm doing 16k-18k a wave. I'm guessing this is due to the introduction of Valkyrie Drops as an attempt to balance the skill.
In any case, since the rework of the Shrine Maiden Hat I guess I'll have to find some way to reset my stats and ditch the Temporal Dex Boots. Would the +12 Shrine Maiden Hat still be worth holding on to or should I sell it for zeny to buy a Valkyrie Drop and a +9 Shrine Maiden hat? I feel like the Katherine Keyron card is useless with an explicit instant cast modifier on the hat.
I've seen screenshots of players doing 300k damage with ME using a +9 Shrine Maiden Hat, dual Valkyrie Drops and an +9 Abyss Dress. Is this due to the effects of the Abyss Dress or the Valkyrie Drops? Do the Valkyrie Drops multiple the damage of ME after it has been modified by the Shrine Maiden Hat? e.g (me)=(matk*smh)*(valkdrop+valkdrop) or (me)=matk(smh+valkdrop+valkdrop)?
Basically, I have two questions:
1. Should I sell a +12 Shrine Maiden Hat with a Katherine Keyron card for a clean +9 Shrine Maiden Hat?
2. If I do 8k damage per ME wave without a Shrine Maiden Hat, what kind of damage can I expect from using a +9 Shrine Maiden Hat with two Valkyrie Drops?
