So, only there the game is lagging. Even when there are no players around.

If the amount of players were a problem, the game would lag too when I entered the Colosseum.

I checked my internet connection, and it's fine too.

 

I can't even finish the "Kafra run here before 1:11" quest, because of this lag.

Try using Alt+F12 to hide all other players and/or go to System Settings and enable Visible Character Limit.

 

Most of the time, the issue is the amount of players, but also the extra visual effects that they have (VIP tags, costume effects, etc). I believe many of these are hidden in Colo.

 

Also, I recommend stopping by Taxi (near the north prontera gate) to buy a Peco mount if you haven't done so. It helps with that time limit quest and it's a good mount to have after the Nippy Peco you get in the first map expires.
