Was hunting in ID3 when a very generous High Priest came in and casted Assumptio on my Assassin.

Now, usually, I'd let my sin auto-attack the Ice Titans and be active on an alt priest to Status Recovery him every time I get frost divered, because getting frozen means my flee means jacksquat and I stop auto-attacking. However, during the duration of Assumptio, the damage of the Frost DIver which usually amounts to 1 is not displayed at all (I assume 0?) and I don't seem to be frozen at any chance. I stopped using Status Recovery, but since it is a chance it might just be my luck.

Since I don't have a high priest, I'd like to ask the forums; Does assumptio protect its receiver from status efect if its damage is 0? Or is something else going on...

If it doesnt hit you, it can't inflict ailments.

Assumptio is just reducing the damage. (by 50%), that reduction+whatever else reduc you have+softMdef is enough to 0 the damage of it in your case.

Huh, so unlike physical attacks, magic attacks can deal 0 damage, and if it does, it counts as a miss. Interesting! Thanks!
