Just a friendly reminder to newbies and rushers, dont fall under the typical troll scam when someone puts in a shop the King Of Spirit Circlet, then change it for an Ascendant Crown at the same price and blam! 1b scammed.

 

IDK why WP put same sprited items, maybe a change of color would be good

there are lots of homograph items (same text name) and homosprites (same in-game sprites aka recycled sprites) in RO.

 

as long no items exist which is combination of the two and people still be able to discern things (item characteristics, slots, enchants, etc), it should be safe (excluding the dupe issues).

This has probably been around for as long as MMOs have been.

I understand this falls under the category of scamming when someone tries to sell an identical item that is worth pennies on the dollar in exchange for those items that are more expensive for sure. What happens to those people who scam that way? If someone un-purposely bought the wrong item? The person who got scammed sends in a ticket and the transaction gets reverted or what? 

 

Although that is a form of scamming, but I don't see why it's their fault in the first place if people aren't careful enough to actually "read" the description of the item and the name of the item itself. I guess some people "RUSH" to buy items without taking proper caution because of greed that's for sure IMO.

 

Im also sure people do this because they understand the gullible-ness of people who know how to read but they rather choose not to and passively act on impulse rather than taking some seconds or a minute to READ and carefully observe.

It is a scam if the seller advertised it as the other item. Otherwise, the seller has every right to sell the item on their own price.
