Base gears that do NOT change for either set in this test:

 

+12 Old Casket (Mettle 3)

Imperial Feather

Royal Guard Necklace

+14 Liberation Imperial Spear

+4 Imperial Guard

+9 FAW (EA4/3/3) of shooter

+7 Imperial Boots

Imperial Ring of Mad Berserker

 

Shadow Gear:

+9 Physical Shadow Weapon

+9 Physical Shadow Earring

+9 Physical Shadow Pendant

+9 Safeguard Shadow Shield

+9 Liberation Shadow Shoes

 

Test 1:

+11 Abusive str 2/2

Megingjard

 Damage w/ VP: 183-191k

 

Test 2:

+13 Hero Plate 

Hero Brooch of Mad Berserker

Damage w/ VP: 212-230k

 

Would strongly recommend anyone picking up a hero plate if you can during the event, insanely useful. The fact that it outperforms a meg by so much is pretty insane. Also tested damage vs +11 Abusive (dex2/2) but damage was even lower than str2/2.

 

P.S. If using KVM spear I would ALWAYS use hero plate. The damage difference is much, much higher than an abusive just because you don't get diminishing returns from the imperial spear / imperial ring combo (which already gives damage w/ vanishing point).

If your are planning to use Gelerdria [3] with Storm Stone, then don't put 3 AKs on it.

I did this already before. 2 AK literally does the same damage as 3 AKs.

It seems damage mod to boss stops at 100%.

It's actually an even larger margin for a gelerdria I found out after testing. I don't have the #'s at work but... it's like considerably better. I'll post soon.

been using Gelerdria and ditched Imperial Spear & Ring since Imperial Boots was added to Sakray.
i expected the cruelty of diminishing return since i've already experienced it on cannon spear with Old Casket.

To be fair though, if you use Abyss Dress, Imperial Spear & ring are still better, especially that you can wear Imperial Glove as 2nd accessory. But the problem is that its only for undead & shadow monsters. Hero Plate is slotted and works on every race.

Best? Hard to say. I've always heard that 110+ str is best for offensive RGs. Enough agi to hit 191+ aspd with gears and chosen buffs. Depends on if you're rocking a PDM/Mob Scarf or taking care of def pen with ImpBoots+skill req. Lots of variables is what I'm getting at. But what I've used for a while is something like this-

 

Str 120

Agi ~100

Vit ~80

Int 1 

Dex ~90-100

Luk ~60-70

I see thank you for your kind sharing. I plan to use imp set and yes I think 120 agi is needed.

Have anyone tested if +8 skin of ladon is any good than FAW EA10?

It gives 15 atk per 20 point of agi and vit.

Yeah it unfortunately doesn't really compare even with 120 strength, I did use of power ladon vs of shooter FAW but they weren't even close, it was like 15% more with the FAW so I just gave up.

 

I'd recommend (for pvm) something like 120 str 120 agi (rush this) 90 dex 90 vit.

If you're using the skin of Ladon, you should be putting it with Menblatt just like the FAW in order to be comparable.

 

As long as you have around 90-100dex, the Skin of Ladon comes really close in damage. My RG does 210-220K with FAW Shooter and around 200-210 with Skin of Ladon (at 100dex).

Given that it is attack boost mostly(so it works with OB also) and the really nice HIT boost, i chose to use the skin of ladon instead. The minor dmg lost isn't that big in my opinion.

 

Plus, it's dirt cheap. Now my RG doesnt need to share FAW with another char.

 

Btw, the difference comes smaller based on your choice of weapon also. If you're using imperial spear set like me, then the difference is small since the spear has really low overall ATK so the large atk boost really helps.

 

FAW outcompetes the skin of ladon a bit more than my experience above on Gelerdria.
