Referring to the thread here, this issue has been patched. However in my client, I'm still facing the same issue.

I've tested Ren's fix, but it's a pain having to do that after every single maintenance. Any way to fix this problem?

Hm, you shouldn't need to do the fix every maintenance, if that's the case then something might be missing patch server end. Did you perform a fresh reinstall yet? With that said,

Try the experimental fix attached below, before you start create a backup of your current game folder.

Assuming that you have performed a fresh install using the official release from this page, follow the steps described below carefully.

For better results, please avoid skipping any step.

Experimental fix for Renewal client repatch issue:

  • Before starting, ensure that your internet is capable of downloading big files without interruption. If on metered type connection, make sure that you have enough download allowance for the month/day.
  • Restart your device.
  • Clear Internet Explorer cache, if you don't know how please check Appendix #2 in this post.
  • Make sure Ragnarok Online.exe and Ragexe.exe are set to run as an admin all the time, if using dedicated antimalware/antivirus programs make sure the same are white-listed from the active scans.
  • Download patch files pack from this link, unzip and place the content in your installation folder.
    • If using normal client the default location is C:\Gravity\Ragnarok Online.
    • If on Steam, to reach default location: While being on Steam library, right click Ragnarok game title, choose properties, then click on Local Files tab, use the Browse Local Files option to reach the folder directory. When prompted to replace existing files say YES.
Note: The installation folder will have all of the game files such as Ragexe.exe and Setup.exe.
  • Launch the game patcher like normal to process the patch files.

Do keep in mind, this is experimental. If it failed on the first try go for another round.

Instead of a fresh install, perhaps my client is just missing that particular patch where it was fixed? Maybe I can just get that done O.o

No worries, we can do selective repatch. However, we are less to suggest this method now due to the possibility of corrupting the client. We assume the reason is the size of the files being re-patched, this has not been confirmed however.

So before we start, do make sure to create a backup of your current client incase things take an unexpected turn :P

Please follow the instructions below.

Selective Re-Patch from 2018-08-02 (Choobs Method)

  1. Restart your device.
  2. Clear Internet Explorer cache, if you don't know how please check Appendix #2 in this post. (Do not skip this step)
  3. Make sure Ragnarok Online.exe and Ragexe.exe are set to run as an admin all the time, if using dedicated antimalware/antivirus programs make sure the same are white-listed from the active scans.
  4. Download patch.inf from this link, make sure to read the instructions carefully.
