Hi
Whether it be cash shop or in game, this game is just locked down by pure RNG.
Every single thing is RNG based. I think we need to start looking at things this game does and re-think about how they work.
Let's take a look at an item for example.
You find the item you want, you then have to either pray to the gods that it upgrades normally, or use cash shop items to eventually force it to get to a high enough refinement level. Once you finally get it to one threshold, you then have no real choice but to rely on cash shop to go beyond, unless you are just purposefully looking to commit seppuku using regular post +10 upgrade items.
Now let's look at dropping an item.
You look up how to get an item, be it from a monster, or an item giver, or an item giver that drops specifically from a monster. It's RNG, then RNG, then RNG.
Enchanting?
Hard work for enchanting items or purposefully only available via cash shop. RNG gated at least once from there, if not more. Case and point, Bio5 Hats. It's RNG, then RNG, then RNG. Once you get what you want, it's a lifetime (literally years) for a shot to try for a maximum enchant stage, which is again RNG. Could spend 5,000,000 fragments and not even get Level 9.
We need hard working alternatives to get things in this game. RNG should not be a sole excuse for extending game play. I know other games are RNG gated as well, but they are different again, case and point games like Diablo 2 and Path of Exile. Horrible RNG, but they have multiple methods and fallbacks which prevent one committing seppuku. And have many ways of grinding to get what you want.
I think it would be worth looking over existing systems in this game to bring some life back to it.
