This happened to me yesterday too.  All the chars vending were DC at the same time.   And trying to re-login kept on getting the "Failure to Connect" even when I reset the PC.   So I reset the modem to get a new IP address.   The logins all worked immediately after resetting the modem.

Unfortunately this isn't going to fix the issue this time. This is more wide spread than a single user, it is effecting everyone.

Staff are looking into the problem and there will be updates when more information is available.

Just blame server crash on monsters from Juperos.  We know them robots are all trying to Skynet there way into the towns.
