Hi guys,

 

i'm returning to IRO after a long brak and am going to use the jump event to get my first magical class. Among the things i looking for is a class able to solo or dual OGH with an ealy budget of 1b and it to be pretty fun, i always though magical classes to be pretty cool - tho hard to master - but i'm having so much fun playing this game again and would like to try something new. So, between the two of those, wich one is the has the most pros? and maybe the most end game stuff w/o MvP as i'm fairly poor.

When we talk about magical class, here my advice:

 

Warlock:

Role: DPS, Burst Damage, and Tank

Build: Survivor Set (Chain Lightning as main dps), Pororoca Set (Water ball as main dps magic), Comet Build, TetraVortex.

Pros:

+high burst damage skill

+Large AOE skill

+has access hp and sp gain.

+Easier to farm on instance.

+Pro tank on ET. (white imprison able to tank every boss in ET except Valk and Beel)

Cons:

-doesn't have neutral element magic, screw this when fighting holy monster and shadow monster. really depend on comet build in running OGH.

-Expensive high end game gear.

-from 140-175 you will spent your time leveling alone because warlock has not widely accepted as sorc in bio4.

 

Sorcerer:

Role : DPS, Crowd Control, Support

Build: AOE caster, Spellfist, and Pure Support.

Pros:

+Party oriented skill. Every turn in and bio4 party would accept you in their party.

+Able to DPS but still lose to warlock.

+PVM master outside instance and ti because kaahi buff+exhale = invisible.

+Able to tank using insignia and elemental resist.

 

Cons:

-Expensive end game gear as warlock.

-Don't expect high number as warlock.

-Not efficient to clearing instance.

 

Now its depend on you, I would recommend warlock for best experience.

if sorc has access hp as wl by him self, sor wouldn't lose to wl in instance lol. the most thing affect to sorc is vacumm and deep sleep is disable in pvm map, that suck.

-doesn't have 2 reliable reading spellbook neutral element magic which is comet & drain life and strongest shadow spellbook magic called hell inferno which is much more superior in killing any holy monsters than any sorc ever does, screw this when fighting holy monster and shadow monster. really depend on comet build in running OGH.

-Expensive high end game gear.

-from 140-175 you will spent your time leveling alone because warlock has not widely accepted as sorc in bio4.

Neutral Pwave is a pretty impressive spell with the right pieces of gear. Can triple cast kill Valk with it.

Not true   WL can tank Valk and Beelz too  

 

How ?

 

 

for Valk

 

The rule to face Valk for tanking as WL is.......   Don't White Imprison too early   because if you White Imprison while facing her first   

 she'll dispel to cancel your White Imprison  and you can't reuse it because of the skill still on cooldown  (4 secs) 

 

4 secs cooldown is enough to get killed by her

 

 

 let her Dispel first  then ,

after you get Dispelled  now  White Imprison yourself quickly

and let your party kill her before she can reuse Dispel again  

 

 

if you know these steps   Valk is easier for you now.....

 

 

 

for Beelz

Beelz is easier than  Ifrit , Valk    don't have a very deadly skill as Ifrit , Valk

 

btw if your party can't kill fast enough  before he transform to second form

 

stop attacking him while he is casting transform     let him attack WL first      if party member attack him while he transforming   he'll change the target when he done

sorcs can completely nulify the damage of 95% of the enemies in the game, wich includes most mvps as well, with just 3 skills

not really impressive, considering how long the skill cooldown is and it's more of damage over time magic (DoT) which is avoidable unless you get someone to tank it for you or make yourself stationary.

you can easily offscreen 3-cycle Valk with it, why would you need to tank her :U

on a side note, as a sorc, you can literally reduce all of Valk's damage dealt to you to 0~1, with only a single gear.

any tips on skills/gear to grab for early lvl100 phase(that are possible non ocp's..too expensive>.<)

 

Should i grab safety wall to help with solo lvling till i can get a faster cast time?...my main issue at 100 is it takes forever for my skills to cast. im at 95 dex currently

Well I can probably one shot VR solo with PWave so...

 

Anyway my answer to OP's question is WL if you're interested in Bio5 at all, otherwise Sorc.

You can reduce all of valk's damage as sorc. However not including that, you can also simply just cast pwave and move off screen 3 or 4 cells and the ticks will continue to hit your enemy.

 

The only time these things stop is if you are behind a wall of some kind.

Thank you all for the answers and sorry for the delay, i ended up creating a Warlock that i have on hold for now, i'll try to get the survivor set as it seem to be the best for instance farm, and then i'll see what i should do. Thak y'all again!
