Hello, we have started the restoration process. 12 noon will most likely be the soonest that the servers will return. 

 

Update 12:03pm: Currently the server is processing the restore. Currently I am waiting for the next estimate from the IT team.

Update 2:24pm: Received data. Starting our checks.

Update 2:45pm: Data is shown to be good. Applying it to the server.

Update 3:20pm: Restores are all applied. I am making a final back up then opening the server.

Update 3:40pm: Servers are open. Cart, mail, inventory, zeny, and storage data was rolled back. Character EXP and quest data was not. As the issue only happened over a 45 minute period users affected by the rollback are minimal.

 

FAQ:
Q: Was this an attack?
A; No, the Chaos servers developed an issue at around 5:30am this morning.

At 6:15 we took down chaos to investigate the cause of the issue.

8:50 we have made backups all character data and started the restoration process.

Q: Will there be a rollback?
A: Yes, the Chaos servers stopped saving some character data at 5:30am this morning. We will attempt to roll data back to 5:20am. 

 

Q: Will there be compensation?
A. Yes, all active VIP users will receive 1 day of VIP. EXP/Drops events will be extended. Any points used on the chaos server during this time will be returned.

 

Q: Will the events be extended?

A: All events but Janeway will be extended 1 week.

Update: Restores are all applied. I am making a final back up then opening the server.

Thanks Campitor and Cinnamon for the answers and for the agility of response on the server. I do not think we could be happier. Since this is hard work and many people do not take this into account

As mentioned in the first post, it is estimated to have server back up around 12 PM US time which is roughly 1 hour from now. Once we get closer we will get a better timing.

 

But how ppl got mvp card at that time?

 

Data will be rolled back to 5:20 AM, anything happened after that time will not be restored, WP points are exempted though.
