VM Weapon Enchanting NPC

Hi!

 

So it's been a while since VM gears have been made available. I think they are pretty neat items overall and promote replay of the dungeon, along side other perks.

 

However, in this time we have never seen anything overly spectacular due to the RNG of it all.

 

Now what I am proposing is not a case of re-rolling and VM item entirely, but it's native rolls.

 

Say you get a VM weapon with Boss Damage, Attack and Drake enchant. I am proposing the concept of spending zeny to re-roll the values of THOSE particular enchants.

 

Say 2m zeny per re-roll. This would mean if a good BASE item has been found, people can invest time into re rolling until the values are more to their liking.

 

It wouldn't do any damage to the concept of the instance but give people a zeny outlet to perfect their rolls.

 

I think it's possible and would be a good addition to the game.

 

Would love to hear other peoples thoughts though.

it would give the instance a more appealing thing going on at the very least. not that jdr, lindy and sfb aren't worth it but they just aren't enough, and i suppose it wouldn't hurt ocp's as one of the few things left pvm items have that competes with it are the enchantments. why not

Remind me the mystic in Diablo 3 lol.

 

BTW Your proposal quite similar to current 'new' enchant system in KRO.

 

Below is the example of new-released level 4 illusion weapons enchant.

 

There're enchant materials, consumable type item.

Below are Dusk Illusion Resonance Stone and Dawn Illusion Resonance Stone Can't be bought with zeny or exchange with illusion stones.

Dusk will give physical type enchant.

Dawn will give magical type enchant.

When double click on it. Enchant-able weapon window will pop-up.

Well press 'make' button. Enchant will be applied.

enchant can be overridden as much as you want without fail.

Give me the classic garbage rates and I'll be happy (really though)

 

Would you reroll one enchant at a time or all of them?

Like Ash said, a Blessed/Divine approach. This means it rerolls everything in there. Hence why 1 ~ 2m tops per go is fair. Obviously something like Drake would always be the same.

Re-rolling the item values = randomizing it's numbers, the specific types of mods stay the same

Example

 

Get a weapon with Drake, 30 Atk, 19% Demi Damage.

 

Use the reroll feature.

 

Now is Drake, 40 Atk, 16% Demi Damage.

 

So all it does is re roll the mods ON there for another chance at getting a different set of numbers.

This is a neat idea X3 Still gives rare enchant combinations value, but this can be used to really maximize their potential. Like getting a Neutral damage + 1%, Formless damage + 3% and ATK+4. It's a cool combo, but the bonuses are lacking. Invest some zeny and really squeeze the value of that combination.
