if the 8 radon items are from the box of the month, and 10 is an item of your choice from the month box, this can work, otherwise it is better not to mess with the system.

What's the problem with keeping boxes the way they have been in the past few months but just slap this "crate deal" on top of it, without having to scout through ALLLL of the random hundreds of items in every single box opening.

 

 

You will still get literally the same amount of money, or more, and the box just feels way more rewarding.

So to get a new item, the only option is to spend 4k kp and get 9 older items and selecting 1 new item.

If there are 5 new items, I will need to spend 20k to get all 5 of them. This is assuming all of them are as good as the rest.

How about uncommon and common new items? Would people still spend 4k or hope they get it next month from step 1-9.

Or are we only introducing powerful items in the list now.

true, they should only put rare & S tier item on 10th step

common item should be slap in step 6-9 along with the previous rare item

or maybe 6-8 old rare ocp, step 9 common tier new ocp

It would be from the April list. Each month's featured list would mostly new items + a few older items mixed in.
 
This is supposed to replace the normal boxes. Players have stated that they wanted more predictability. IE when they buy 40 boxes they get exactly what they were after.

Tbh would be nice to see both options at the least, this new system would make the gears in the common sections actually become more uncommon cause people are obviously gonna be picking the rare options, lol.

Dunno if the system can count how many boxes you opened, however you can create a pack with 5/10/20/whatever boxes such that when you open the pack, it gives you the amount of OCP's and a free equipment whose rarity is based on the amount of the pack. (Keeping with the same ocp system btw)

Were trying to gather feedback on this system from your perspective. The debate on how to structure everything has been going on for weeks.

 

Okay here is my perspective on the whole thing.

First of all, if this has been going on for weeks why is it the first time we ever heard of this and you drop it literally a day before a new OCP will be out. Just like BG renewal, out of no where and flawed in multiple ways. Why are there so many behind the scene things going on with you guys (GM) and random players? 

 

Secondly regarding this new renewed OCP system.

Is it nice having a "ceiling" for being able to pick items? Of course it is, no one will be against that.

But what is the problem here? Let's look at an example.

OCP 27, the rare items are I believe Phoenix Muffler and Circlet of Phoenix.

But I think I am correct and large amount of players would agree with me that Old Detachment Rings were the most desired item from this OCP.

 

Old Detachment Ring is a semi-rare? Or a normal item, regardless let us assume it is a normal item.

I remember I bought around 60 boxes and I got around 8-9 Old Detachment Rings

 

With your new system, it is nice being able to pick up a Phoenix Muffler/Circlet of Phoenix after 10 tickets but what if all I wanted was an Old Detachment Ring? 

There is no way you will find one in the previous 8 boxes since you said they were archived gears correct? So essentially if you really want one you still have to go for the 10 ticket. But what if you need more than one? What normally was achievable easily is now pretty much forces you to get 10 tickets to achieve and the OCP prices go up even higher.

 

What's my recommendation?

Keep the old box system and simply do something easy like if you bought 40 boxes (10k WPE) you can pick 1 item you want from the box.

Campitor, what you can do as well is to remove some trash gears of the OCP pool from the steps that gives random items. Look at OCP 1, 2 and 3 for example, this boxes contains 20+ items each and almost all of them are completely useless or they can be obtained in game. This random pool should actually contain  useful items. You can even make a community  survey on which OCP items should be worth  to be on this list.

If you guys are really considering our feedback, it's going to come down to this month's box contents at every step.

 

My suggestion is that every box includes a ticket. Keep OCP at 300kp per box. 13-15 tickets can be redeemed for a featured item.

 

What this does:

• Price limit new OCP additions (current rate of 1k WPE is ~750-850m. New featured items are price capped between 3.3 and 3.8b depending on current rate of WPE/k. If boxes received from Boxter have tickets, the price of all featured OCP items will be 2.7b)
• The items in OCP that have limited uses and are mostly used as Boxter fuel can still be obtained frequently.
• The less than best-in-slot or otherwise less commonly used OCP items are still entering the market.
• The Boxter market isn't destroyed.
• People buy at least as much WPE as they currently do.

It's important that rare items can STILL be obtained from the boxes. Essentially nothing is changed except that you receive OCP 29 tickets from OCP 29.

 

You don't need to radically change the entire system to make people happy. If all people want is some degree of certainty that they get something from their investment, including tickets in 300kp boxes and redeeming 15 tickets for a featured item fulfills that.

Ticket Price 300kp

New Summary is as follows.
 
Yggdrasil Ascension is our new OCP Item System. (we are testing)
 
Buy the Tickets from the cash shop and take it to the Yggdrasil Tree Explorer located in the Eden Group. The Explorer will take the ticket and give you your reward. Using the ticket will not consume it but teleport you to the Southern Gate of Prontera. Ticket Claiming is divided into 10 steps. Each step gives a specific reward and when you reach step 10 with the tickets it starts all over again.
 
Each Ticket Costs 300 pts.
Rewards:
Each ticket when claimed will give a reward according to it's step.
Step 1 Random Item from this Month's OCP List and 4 Bloody Branch
Step 2-4 Random Item from this Month's OCP List
Step 5 Guaranteed Random Gear rated Semi Rare+ from this Month's OCP List
Step 6 Random Item from this Month's OCP List and 4 HE Bubble Gum
Step 7-9 Random Item from this Month's OCP List
Step 10 Guaranteed Random Gear rated Rare+ from this Month's OCP List
 
Exact lists for the archive, and featured list will be published during maintenance.

This means at by Step 10 you will have spent 3000kp and received the following
8 Random OCP Items (Can Include consumables)
1 Random Semi Rare+ OCP Gear

I'd suggest keeping the standard box in no matter what you opt for; at the least those who don't like the system will be able to use the normal route.
