I like the idea of tickets. Make it so the OCP box gives a ticket in addition to a random item. Turn in 10 ~ 15 tickets for a chosen item.

 

Better to have 100 players spend $30 than 10 players spending 300, I know it may sound same same price wise, but one is a whole lot more healthier in the long run.

The Random Item from steps 1 to 4, and 6 to 9, contains all tiers of items from this month's OCP list?

For people somehow still confused about this

You spend KP the same way you did before, you just claim it a bit differently.


The 1st box you open will be a regular box + contain 4 Bloody Branches as a bonus.
Boxes 2,3 and 4 will just be regular boxes.
Box nº5 will guarantee that that reward obtained is from the SEMI-RARE(or higher) tier of that month's box.
Box nº6 will give you a regular opening + 4 HE Gums
Boxes 7, 8 and 9 will be regular boxes.
Box nº10 will guarantee that that reward obtained is from the RARE(or higher) tier of that month's box.


After you open 10 boxes, it resets and repeats the cycle.

Tbh it looks super good but up it to 15 instead of 10 and make 10 a semi-rare. That's just my opinion, 10 is really low if there are still the same old rare chance you get rare items from items 1-9.

Actually, I believe it is worded to say Semi-Rare+/Rare+ which means it COULD give a rare at the Semi Rare stage.

Each Ticket Costs 300 pts.
Rewards:
Each ticket when claimed will give a reward according to it's step.
Step 1 Random Item from this Month's OCP List and 4 Bloody Branch
Step 2-4 Random Item from this Month's OCP List
Step 5 Guaranteed Random Gear rated Semi Rare+ from this Month's OCP List
Step 6 Random Item from this Month's OCP List and 4 HE Bubble Gum
Step 7-9 Random Item from this Month's OCP List
Step 10 Guaranteed Random Gear rated Rare+ from this Month's OCP List
 
Exact lists for the archive, and featured list will be published during maintenance.

This means at by Step 10 you will have spent 3000kp and received the following
8 Random OCP Items (Can Include consumables)
1 Random Semi Rare+ OCP Gear
1 Random Rare+ OCP Gear
4 Bloody Branches.
4 HE Bubble Gum.

Current box rates will stay about the same. So Steps 5 and 10 give increased rates.

 

now it looks attractive, since in the 5 box they would be only semi-rare + and in the box 10 only rare + and in boxes 1 ~ 4 and 6 ~ 9 would be random among all items.
and not change the price of the box is a great choice since many people put only the package of vip + 1500kp.

Yup but you can also get it from the 8 normal opening chance.

yes, but it eliminates all the gear from semi-rare and below from the "drop table", so if there's 3 RARE gears in that box, each has a 33.3% chance to be obtained in that opening.

Just woke up to this much discussed OCP change. The latest iteration looks good since i've been really burned badly by goddang jupiter ring box. As long as the rates don't go even lower because this system is implemented, i'm fine with it. Also, please don't start adding more crap like sunglasses to the rare tier so you can up someone's 3K rare item rate.

 

The last thing i would like to see is rare tier becoming like this:

1. big new shiny item

2. sunglasses

3. some old junk

4. some other old junk

it's what i says, a regular box like the one in the cast shop right now. All prizes are still eligible at the good old RNG, but steps 5 and 10 will give you a better shot at the higher tier rewards.

I’m okay if this new system is implemented. This is much needed after so many players got screwed over in the past (i.e. opening 80+ boxes and did not get the item sought after).

With this new system, hopefully this will make opening the OCP boxes a less traumatizing experience for the newer players with bad RNG. We ALL want this server to survive and flourish.

Question for the new system: Will the boxer system still works for it?

 

If u ever thinking to add older ocp item in the new box I strongly suggest to add SPIRIT KING's RING.

Why?

1. It only ever appeared in OCP I which is like 2 years ago? Whereas some other older ocp items keep reintroduced more than once.

2. It is an important gear for Sorcerers and the price now is ridiculous.

Sorry if this has been asked but let's say I buy 4 tickets. I will only be able to get to step 4 right? What if I buy 6 tickets a couple hours later will I start from step 5 or step 1?

It would start from Step 5, since it it worked the other way, people could just spam step 1 for 4 bbs.
