I know this may sound silly, but my ranger isn't too geared and has just been using a +12 Elven Bow + Elven Arrows up to this point for her auto-warg build.

 

My question is mostly as title says- How much of an upgraded Crimson Bow do I need to surpass my Elven with the 50% ranged from the arrow bonus? Would a +12 Crimson bow do more dmg, or would I need a +14-15 to be able to get more dmg out of it?

 

I'd like to switch to Crimson so I can use any element arrows and converters for the Prism Scarf element reduc versus certain mvps, but would my damage suffer with same refinement Crimson?

Hey Ash! You just helped me with my RK issue not too long ago. Ended up just stopping at Valk, couldn't hack it solo as pure DB. I mean, it would have been possible if I wanted to burn through 50 tokens, that deluge trick worked though, I got off way more wDBs this time at least. Just not worth it unless I wanted to do a hybrid and get a whole other gear set just for using CS on that one mvp.

 

Anyways...

 

Nearly all harder mvps I'd def be using NL for, but without it would a +12 Crimson still outperform a +12 Elven?

Elven Bow is 160 ATK/1 Slot.

 

Crimson is 120 ATK/2 Slot and adds more attack based on refine; as well as, more attack depending on your base level.

 

Statistically, if you were 175 then Crimson already beats Elven, but the tricky part is the ranged damage bonus Elven gives.

 

If you use NL, that boost is but a fraction of what it is, if you don't use Elven or any other ranged damage %, then it's 50% more overall.

 

tldr, just get a good Crimson Bow.
