I had 99 Int / 90 DEX in my warlock lvl 100 warlock, and decided to reset and put 120 DEX and temp DEX boots as someone advised me to do, but the cast time barely changed anything at the cost of me losing a ton of int / vit..

Is this how it is supposed to work? I thought i was going to get at least half instant cast with 120 + temp DEX boots, but instead it only lowered like 20% cast time..

Variable cast is different than fixed cast.

Variable cast is different than fixed cast.

So putting more than 60 dex on a mage is almost a complete waste when you could be putting on int?

I think so, but you may be able to benefit from it once you do transfer to Chaos.

if you reduce your fixed casts from (usually) 1s to 0.5s, but still have an horrendous variable cast time left, ofc you wont notice much of a difference.

Yeah. I just thought i wouldn't still have an horrendous variable cast with 120+20 dex and a crown of deceit +9. I already reset back and i'm much happier with the build now.
