I wanted to make a soul linker for my sorc/WL. I have never made one or played the character. Any advice on starting one? Best way to level, gears etc?thanks!

depending on how well geared you are you can trivialize the leveling in a variety of ways. Autocast gears, just raw atk and a marine sphere, leech it with another char, etc.

I guess I am fairly well geared from my other characters. Looking around the forum I guess best thing to do is go heat str/Dex? But I don't really understand how the skills work or which skills to get.

tkm is just a regular phys class, pick an aoe skill, put atk gears on and make sure you dont die,go kill stuff.

I should change title I didn't realize tkm doesn't change into soullinker. That's my bad.

k thats much clearer.

The class doesnt have any aoe skill, and the aoe you have as a tk kid are disabled upon job change.

With that said, to level up "the fastest" you can do any of the following:

- get to 99 as a tk kid with your aoe skills and etc, then change jobs and just grind job lvls, wich will be faster since the monster you are in range now give much better exp.

- leech with another character

- use autocast gears + reflect, preferably equipment that unleashes aoe spells. ie: lunar rainbow+hillwind+pitman+ferus.

- use a marine sphere clip and level up with lv1 magnum break, as if you were a swordie. It's efficiency is heavily reliant on how good your atk gear is.


On a side note, linkers can take a huge advantage of Cath von Blood, as in not only it recovers resources for your skills, as it can vastly improve your survivability by using Kahii with it.
Kahii will drain sp to heal, and your kills will restore both hp but also quite a chunk of sp. Just balance out how much you need to heal so you can sustain the sp for it.
