Good afternoon. I had a couple of questions in regards to making a Lion's Howl (Damage (ATK) = [Base_Damage × (BaseLv ÷ 150)]%) Sura. I want to make this my main. I did scroll through several topics before posting this topic that way I don't seem dumb then again the dumbest question is the one that isn't asked (well at least what my teachers told me   ). So here I go.

 

1. What is the best orientated stat build for a LH Sura? So for from what I've gathered from reading old posts are these. Not sure whether to use either which is why I need guidance.

 

118 Str

1 Agi

24 Vit

120 Int

120 Dex

1 Luk

 

74 STR

18 AGI (Awakes + Celermine and blunt weapons for aspd) devils hand boosts your aspd 20%

100 VIT

120 INT/DEX  -  120 INT/DEX will reduce Lion's Howl Variable casting time - Temp dex for zen casting - Seraphim for 250 attack boost - Lion's Howl + LR (you can use FAW with EA enchants + menblatt card)

36 LUK

 

2. What is the best equipment in terms of leveling and end-game MVP Sura? I know +12 Devil's Hand is definitely a staple for top headgear.

 

Top - +12 Devil's Hand

Mid - Seraphim Coronet

Low - 

Body -

Weapon - +13 Glorious Morning Star

Shield - +13 Excelion Shield

Garment -

Acessory (left) -

3. What is the best suited skill spread for Lion's Howl? I see people use different ones but I want to know which is the most preferred.

 

4. Going from Non-Rebirth to Rebirth to Sura Leveling. What do you recommend the fastest method for leveling on this class? I skimmed through several leveling guides but most content of guides here are outdated.

 

 

That about sums up all my questions. I'm really looking forward to mastering this class. I know it's going to be an expensive road but I'm sure the outcome will be awesome. Seeing all these Sura MVP videos. I want to MVP Fenrir too    (one of my goals unsure if Lion's Howl can pull it off though). Anyhow, thank in advance iRO community.

hi, i could help answer some of your questions base on my experience leveling lion's howl sura to 175.

 

my final stats are:

120 Str

1 Agi

90 Vit

120 Int

100 Dex

1 Luk

 

for leveling, i use these

Top - +10 Devil's Hand

Mid - Seraphim Coronet

Low - tengu scroll

Body - +13 percelio abusive str6 / +10 evil dragon armor for all around

Weapon - +15 crimson mace (dual beholder for leveling on nct), or just +12 thanatos hammer (malicious) for all around

Shield - +12 mad bunny special shield 

Garment - +10 valkryrian manteau of power (set damage with abusive robe), +9 heroic backpack for farming/greeding

shoes - +7 Tengu Shoes 

Acessory (left) - keraunos (gsc)

Accessory (right) - pdm (gsc)

 

for  shadow equipment, it's quite standard physical set and malicious set, atk headggears custom, sp garment custom

pet im using incubuss for sp leech

 

with those setup, leveling 150-175 on nct was really fun and very fast, snap is your friend all the way , you still need to 2 shot big bell (150-160k each lion howl), with str, donut food, i could overkill and 1 shot them though.

 

sp isnt problem with leech gears and power absorb, i barely stop and refill sp too.

 

the best leveling from novice, monk to level 99 champion is no doubt with the janeway event (took like 20 - 30 minutes from 1 novice to 99 champ (not counting the time for rebirth and do the class quests though) ) but then again, the event is quite rare and im not sure when wp will have that kind of event again, so the old combo skill monk/champ is still the way to go for soloing.

 

i saw a chat advertisment on edan office sometimes, offering for leeching/slaving services on low ti, that's probably the other way to quickly reach to 99 (you can start as low as level 70, not sure about the price)

 

but one think for sure, i think lion's howl build is still lacking the damage to do really good kiling on mvp, we still need more gears that can enhance lion's howl significantly other than the devil's hand headgear.)

 

lion howl build is the best use for quick leveling up with ease (leveling 100 to 175 on mid and high TI is a breeze with lion howl too), the real fun start when sura maxing the rising dragon with gentle energy gain skills, as you can rapid fire those lion howl 4 to 5 times in the row. and farming a very crowded and large amount and scatter around of mobs that you can 1 hit kill them all, the mobility is superb due to snap skills as you can move very quickly around the map, the range of the skill is very large (juperos core for 1 example)
