in my Sakray test, temp ring and dog tag do better damage than jupiter.

 

That's with MBA though.. maybe those Dresses combo differently.

Marry a Kagerou and have him your Shadow Warrior buff slave. (Not sure if Oboro has one)

Nice damage as always. Anyways you don’t need to marry a kagerou to use double attack. It can be casted on anyone, even outside party.

Also, Snake head always offers a 1.25x damage increase through double attack lvl5. It may lose out a lot to high acute ORC in the past since we did not have that many crit %dmg gears at that time, but right now it has comparable damage to ORC acute4 with optimal gear setup. It will even beat ORC if we get the super OP crit garment (100% crit damage garment) if OCP continues again.

However, having a kagerou buff with ORC still does most damage. Right now for what i’m doing with my crit RK, the kagerou buff cast from outside instance last long enough for the full instance- Sky fortress and Wolfchev.

That's so nice crit damage. Would you mind if I ask what is the key to achieve high crit damage.

After rune update, I just tested with Violet Fear and MBTA. I can reach 50-60k per hit on OGH bosses (haven't not try with food buffs and frenzy yet). I would like to ask what do I need to aim (gears) or change?

if you're using PDM, you do not need MTBA. The 70% extra defense pierce is wasted since you only need 100% pierce (so go for 126 luk and dump the MTBA). Then you can change your armor to flame dragon armor or whatever else gives you more damage. The 80ATK on MTBA is a lot weaker than 20% atk on FDA.

 

Also, if your ORC doesn't have Acute enchant (maybe at least lv3 or 4), then Snake head gives more damage.  Other than that its just whether you were using full buffs or not (spell shield, correct element etc).

 

You can also slot the luminous with an owl baron card for lex aeterna for cheap and good extra damage. At its proc chance its basically 3% more final damage.

Thanks for the advise. I will give it a try (my ORC still not enchanted).

 

Changing stat to 126 luk, maybe str won't be 120 in order to keep 80 agi. Does it still work out with HS/IB? (I used temp str + Gelerdria + Storm Stone occasionally).

In case not working, I plan to sell them and buy armors instead.

well it is up to you. Going 126 LUK makes you get 100% pierce no amtter the enemy, 120LUK only 90% pierce with PDM. At the same time, there are a lot of very strong armours like abyss dress etc that gives a lot of damage so if you can not need MTBA, its way better.

 

That's for crit damage, but if you want to do IB at the side, having 120STR is very nice with temp str. So if you want to have both 120 STR and 126LUK plus still have 80AGI, something else has to go.

Example, you can go:

STR 120
AGI 80
VIT 80
INT 3
DEX 35
LUK 126

 

This means you give up on some cast time on the dex and int instead.

 

Otherwise, you can just stick to your 120STR and 120LUK, and keep both 40dex/int and 80agi/vit, but then know that you will only have 90% defense pierce. That means not chasing maximum damage but just general quality of life while running around.

For the equipment, I agree with you. There are better armors around (a lot better).

 

Also for stat, as you said, I have to decide and give up on something (need to give it a try).

Lower: Heart Card - 4 aspd

Armor: Any

Garment: Any

Weapon: +14 Lindy (Any) (14% aspd)

Acc1: Temp Ring

Acc2: Dog Tag

Costume: Aspd Garment -1 aspd

Rapid Shadow Pendant - 4% aspd

Physical Shadow Ring - 3% aspd (overkill)

2hq, fighting spirit, zerk, celermine no buffs no foods.

 

Might be worth using PDM over temp ring because of all the crit you get already. But sam spec solves that too. Also if you use any buffs or foods at all you won't have to use rapid pendant and you can just use full physical shadow probably.

 

Fun little perk - it also gives you splash attacks.

fenrir only helps with the FCT. DB has 2 second VCT and 0.5 FCT. So if you use fenrir, you only get the FCT to 0.15, but your VCT is probably still very high since crit RK don’t have high dex.

The way to get a hybrid DB with crit as main is to use VCT reduction gears. Sample (No MVP):

+10 ORC ME5 with KK card (full FCT reduction and 10% VCT)
Tower Keeper mid (5% VCT)
Survival orb (3% VCT)
Fafnir Scale (30% ACD)
TGL Spell8-10 (20 VCT, 20% ACD)
+12 Felrock cloak (35% VCT)
Temp VIT boots Spell SOL (10% VCT)
Temporal Ring (30% ACD with SOL)
Celine Brooch (10% VCT) valk drop works too here for cheapo
Dark faceworm combo (6% ACD)
Caster shadow pendant (4% VCT)
Magical earring shadow (3% VCT)

This sums up to...
For cast time,
No FCT
100% VCT Reduction
So no cast time at all, with no foods or anything else.

While for spam rate, we have
86% ACD (meaning .28 delay on DB, still fully spammable while kiting)

The comparison with a pure DB will be:
No Red Baby Dragon
No ranged boost from TGL, Boots and Garment.

DB damage will only be around 120-130K compared to 200K on pure DB, but it works nonetheless.

The stats i would probably go:
STR 114
VIT 110
LUK 126
Agi 50
INT 38
Dex 2

There is no need for dex since both crit and DB bypass flee and VCT gears means dex is meaningless. In this build your crit damage almost doesn’t suffer a single drop but you also have high VIT and some sp from int.

Of course, if you include MVP cards in, you can start to get as close to pure DB damage as possible, with use of beelzebub cards for VCT (regain lost ranged damage enchants instead of spell enchant and replace felrock cloak) and fenrir card for FCT (so you can use red baby dragon but have 0.15 cast time total). With full MVP stack out, your db damage can be only a menblatt cards difference due to no dex.

In any case, this is just theorycrafting at the moment. There really isn’t a need for such builds currently since if your focus is ET, the DB main build is always better (the crit is only for 1 mob out of thousands inside). If it is just to help your crit RK pass by the reflect stages, it is perfectly fine to just use your normal DB RK gears and cast slowly since that stil does big damage with enough VIT and it’s only once a week with 3 stages of mobs. That or just accept your fate and use hundred spears/sonic wave one by one.. lol.

i find it interesting cause we will eventually get 185 max level and enough job points to get all skills IB, Hundred Spears, and DB/WDB, so its good to prepare early.
