GM Cultist SHOULD NOT BE in any low lvl areas.  Places like sunken ship, payon cave, orc dungeon, prontera field maps, geffen ffield maps, payon ffield maps, alberta field maps, alde baren field maps, morroc field maps, comodo field maps, ant hell, toy factory, and prontera culverts.  My lvl 100 guillotine cross have a hard time hitting the female GM cultist.  So if my lvl 100 char is having a hard time killing the female cultist without potting a lot of healing items, a low lvl new character will probably die instantly or in 2 to 3 hits.  Please remove the GM cultist from all those maps i mentioned.  The RO community will thank you for it.

If you're leveling in an area then try not killing them when you see one.

If it's the aggressive cultist, just lure her to one of the corners of the map that you've already cleared of monsters and try to leave her there (snare, outrun, or just teleport away). Atleast that way you'll know where she is on the map

This is just dumb. Me and my friends decided to play this game for the first time ever. But after spending 1 hour trying to get past a cultist that was standing right at the entrance to Izlude town. We just gave and uninstalled the game. What a waste of time.

Did you try talking to the npc in izlude town that switches you to the other channel?
He's just south of the central market.

Or you could've asked some people to get rid of it. Izlude is pretty populated so there should've been someone there. And you have access to Eden HQ as well

other options you could've tried:

A. You could've also used teamwork with your friend to get rid of the gm cultist:
Both of you try to run past the gm at the same time while screaming compliments at her. The female gm will be disoriented and be stunned for 1 sec. She will eventually attacc one of you, but that will mean that the other person will manage to get out. At this stage, the surviving teammate, while trying not to look back at his dying friend, tries to use his position to lure the cultist away from izlude entrance. Surviving teammate leads gm cultist to northeast corner and lets the cultist kill him in a final battle [epic]. Both teammates respawn in Izlude and do a highfive because they successfully cleared an unexpected challenge in their iRO adventure (which is just the first of many).
Go back to south pront field and die to creamies anyways

B. Submit a ticket requesting the remaining GM's to get rid of the rogue GM for you. Wait at izlude entrance to witness epic GM vs. GM battle

C. Collect all the gopinich balls

D. Travel to japan and go deep undercover infiltrating multiple japanese yakuzas to enlist the help of the now aged and wiser legendary CM Oda

E. Spend 5 minutes waiting because eventually the gm cultist will just wander far enough from the entrance if left alone

Don't you get free fly wings from the cultera academy?  Like, a lot of them?

@ninJedi and KingofBabylon Victim blame is not the answer here. As a veteran who just introduced a few new players, it's easy to forget Ragnarok's uniqueness also gives it a bit of a learning curve. Do fly wings teleport you in any other game? Also, you are assuming people won't just walk outside of Izlude because god forbid they want to explore. Noob areas are made safe for a reason. They create and nurture a positive experience. The first fifteen minutes of a game are the most important, just like the first paragraph of a book. If someone gets randomly offed and it isn't even their fault by a character sprite that you could easily expect them to be asking questions to (a n 'iRO GM'), the likelyhood of them uninstalling is more than understandable. If there was a message to alert the player the sprite is not a GM but a monster or an alert notifying them of a dangerous monster, then ok. maybe. It's still bad game design. Period. In addition, the mob is ghost property and for those who didn't study or were overwhelmed by the eden quests, they could find themselves confused as to why they couldn't hit the mob. Heck, even GXes have difficulty hitting it. Lastly, the mob seems to have increased movement speed. Luring it is tricky at best. it reminds me of the biolabs monsters I had to snatch.  I have already submitted a ticket and am waiting for a reply. It's a shame a few of my friends might quit over this, but I wouldn't blame them if they did.

I'm sorry if I'm being too mean,
but I still think people are overreacting.

It's literally just 1 or 2 monsters on each map, and the likelihood of meeting one is actually not that high.

It might be annoying, but I think people should approach this as a learning experience.
Meeting a female gm cultist at izlude entrance is way less stressful and problematic than meeting Ifrit or Valk at lvl 1 Payon Cave entrance when there's no other path to reach the other floors where your bounty quest monsters are, or like when you teleport into Gramp's lowti and some son of a peach thought it was a good idea to mob all the monsters into the entrance area.
If you think about it, the solutions to all those scenarios are pretty much the same. And if you don't know what to do, but don't make any attempt to find a way anyways, then you're only robbing the chance of progress from yourself.

I get that they're new, but they really should try not to call it quits here considering how many more situations like this there are down the line.

Whether you're good or not, there's bound to be one fallen tree or another that ends up blocking your adventuring path. But if your first response is "I quit" instead of "I wonder if there's a way around" then something is definitely off

Spoiler PS

Hi everyone. After the most recent maintenance, these guys aren't aggressive anymore. I've tried walking around them and casting stuff, they gave zero reaction. It's all cool now
