I encountered an Angeling just a while ago. I'm a trapper hunter and killed its mobs, BUT the Angeling itself is not affected by my traps. This lead me to a question: Are mini-bosses and MVP's immune to skills??

look up their element, and the element of your skill.

Angeling is Holy4, he will only take damage from neutral, shadow & undead.

This is exactly why ^^

Unforunately, hunters/snipers don't have any neutral element traps. You only get that once you pick up Bomb Cluster as a Ranger.
Landmine = Earth
Claymore = Fire
Blastmine = Wind

Yes, but you can always compensate with arrows. The trick here is carrying some silver quiver.

Making do with falcon assault works too (at lower levels), especially since the stats that skill needs are the same with traps
