I have used about 150 enriched ores, across 3 different accounts and only managed to get 4 gears from +7 to +9, i just have the worst luck ever??? Or something is wrong with this event???

sounds about right.

The market and community tends to look at the "lucky" attempts as the norm, when the average attempts to succed is actually much higher

I managed to +9 my 5 gears with only 50 enriched ores, though my supposed to be 6th one falls to +3.

5 armors went +9 with just one box, while 4 weapons went +9 for 4 boxes, damn RNG

Ores will have a better success rate but only enriched ores will break your gears when your attempts fail. If you refine with HD Bradium/Carnium your gears won't break at all.

By ores I mean Enriched and HD Bradium/Carnium as it can be seen below.

30 to 40 enriched ores got me 3 +9 items after reading this i feel better spending my zeny ty op.
