Just leveled my GX to 140 and want to use him to start trying to farm Stefan to get a JDR to drop. This is my first GX and I've only done MA leveling with him so far. Will be able to do a stat reset and can easily do skills too if needed. Planning to jump into farming this weekend but would love more advice on which build can kill Stefan at that low of a level and ideally without needing a ton of tokens. Have done the instance a couple times on my AB but pretty much always need tokens on him.

I have access to one or more of every OCP item but no Gods and not any helpful MVPs (unless Atroce or Valk can help?).

For this I'm assuming the best build is Katar Crit but not sure what that looks like for stats/equips these days but do have a +15 Holy Crimson Katar already.

If DD crit is better, for daggers I have a +15 Holy Crimson Dagger but no idea what should go in the other hand.

Other than weapons I'm not sure which Mid headgear is best. Was grinding to 140 with Imperial Feather but with the stat reset I'm assuming Gamblers set is better if going crit?

 

So to summarize:

1. For Stefan at lower level (no bio5/jdr), the build I should aim for is Katar crit, DD crit, weird +hit stacking, or perfect hit (without phree card)?

2. Best Middle Headgear for the above build? (Imperial Feather, Gamblers set, Mob set, Tengu set, Seraphim Coronet, or Diablous Wing)

3. Recommended stats?

4. Recommended skills?

5. Going up the stairs is it better to Backslide to the top or fast walk with Cloaking Exceed?

 

I'm sure I'm missing a bunch of info so any other general tips for farming a JDR would be appreciated!

i suggest to level up first cos you need those stats. if you insist then learn to dodge the earthquake.

btw its really cool to see people can dodge that EQ as easy as 1, 2 and 3.

Based on what I could find from guides and whatnot I was thinking Katar Crit build with the equips being something like:

Eddga Hat or CoP/WH/DH for def bypass

Gamblers Seal set

Abyss Dress or Abusive with Str 6 or Luk 5 enchants

Crimson Katar

FAW with crit enchants or if there is something better

Enforcers or Temp Luk Boots?

Some combo of BSG, PDM, Temp Ring, Ring of Jup, or some other accessories?? 

 

Then for stats 90 Str, 90 Agi, 47 Vit, 7 Int, 1 Dex, 120 Luk. Very much guessing what would work best here though so more input is welcome

Are you trying to crit to death? Using abyss, enforcer/temp boots with temp ring+pdm should be fine. Pdm gives great bonuses. Just make sure when he goes into earthquake mode you're not around any of the purple spots.

I forgot what level I was when I went and did this.I used rc/crs. My issue was hit.

Isnt it 145 level requirement?

Also incase of no sidewinder+AK setup, can park a kage near the entrance for the Shadow Warrior buffs that gives DA i guess, 3 minutes should be enough if you skip everything

And theres Kaizel skill that grants free resu from soul linker

Backsliding with macro is faster in my experience, but will take more damage from those ranged mobs

Hey there! 

I'm not a super rich GX but I've done successful runs to try and farm JDR (gave up lmao) using the 3hr VIP ticket.

What I do is basically cloaking exceed all the way to the top and not engage any monsters.

 

 

My setup as follows:

 

Upper HG - +12 Dropping Eddga (ex Ranger)

Mid HG - Seraphim Coronet

Lower HG - Love piece

Armor - Abyss dress

L arm - Triple AK RTE FS6 +10

R arm - Quad AK +10 knife (lmao)

Garment - FAW FS enchant (FS something, I forgot)

Shoes - Enforcer

ACC - PDM and Blacksmith gloves, both gold scaraba cards

 

I use aspersio scroll, but really, sometimes I forget. But I would just dark claw and MA a few times.

 

Be very careful with your positioning.

If I stay in the middle and killed all the zombies, Stefan will then EQ and I would die.

I would usually deviate to the left so I can finish stafan quicker before I finish his minion. I believe his first wave of EQ is triggered when most of his mobs die. So yeah. Hallucination walk and go as far back as possible. Always works this way for me.

EDIT: I did this at Lv 145. Skills I use are just hallucination walk, then dark claw into meteor assault. Be mindful hallu walk has a long CD, so it prob wont finish resetting until your next try. Your dark claw will most likely have refreshed though.

either use aspersio scroll or get ab right next to the instance portal. if you're dirt cheap like me, you can use fire converter. phreeoni wing is enough for hit. 3 mins aspersio timer is enough to cloak all the way top and kill the boss.
