Hey Camp, the quest seems to be bugged or something. Atroce isn't spawning after clicking the spirit, nor it let us go this "new instance" map. It just gives you quest logs and that's about it. I'm not the only one on the map, it's 2 mates who I'm partying with and 2 other guys. We searched the whole map and Atroce isn't around. Can you please take a look at this? Thanks

Hello Joaco, checking with Campitor on the reported issue with Atroce spawn.

 

Please try to click a few times on the NPC, as suggested it may fix it. If not let us know!

I am running through the quest on a fresh character. One thought, Make sure you are in a party of at least 1 user

Confirmed the issue. It seems to exist for new characters. I will prepare a fix and just restart that map set.

Clicked the NPC like 10 times but nothing really happened (apart from triggering the dialogue but that's it), it might probably be 'cause I'm still on cooldown to summon him (yeah, I did get the quest logs but he never appeared).

It's a 3-man party, so that's definitely not the problem. However, if these MvPs are now instanced, doesn't that mean that only the leader has to open the instance or how does it work?

When will this restart happen, if I may ask?

Honestly dont know where to forward this question, complain and concern.

But i think the new world eater instance is also bugged because after killing world eater, we , a party of five or four, didnt get the quest for killing the lief the betrayer, didnt get the new dialogue prompt for other party member after we kill the world eater. however two valk and isilla still spawn. but no conclusion dialogue at the end. credit to leo because if not for his video i wouldnt know exactly we have another kill quest. Only got the world eater quest done 1/1 then nothing else, no more dialogue after that. no achievement whatsoever. i m not sure if only party lead got to complete the quest but with just two days left, this probably left a bitter taste in the mouth if i didnt get it done in time after spending nights of effort. 

 

3/10 rating on this event quest. long winded with bugged mechanic, terrible mvp that only people with gtb or +10 leviathan muffler or 100% water reduc can withstand. you want to encourage party play but only party lead can complete the instance? need to kill multiple time to get achievement for each party member? 1 star for effort, 1 star for writing the dialogue and story, 1 star for trying to fix the hot mess. minus 7 stars for missing the point of event. keep it simple for easiness of people to participate, keep it moderate, keep it fun. and i m not having fun with doing this quest, at this point i just want to get it done just so i get something out of spending some precious hour into it.

Just finished the quest with a friend so yeah, it seems to be fixed now. Thank you very much!

We had the same problem. When we tried to get the Lief prompt, it would say something like "party leader stand here." So, the party leader went over and triggered lief, got the quest, and we killed it. NONE of the party members got the Lief quest or a Lief kill count. Please fix this. We spent a lot of time and resources making sure EVERYONE was alive to get the kill count just to find that only ONE person finished it... 

 

EDIT: I'll also add that it is VERY hard to keep the whole party alive when earthquake hits. It's possible to kill the valks and die at the same time. I don't think you'd get the kill count for that either, but I don't know... since I wasn't the party leader >_> (YES, I'M SALTY!!!!)

So, the party leader went over and triggered lief, got the quest, and we killed it. NONE of the party members got the Lief quest or a Lief kill count. Please fix this. We spent a lot of time and resources making sure EVERYONE was alive to get the kill count just to find that only ONE person finished it... 

 

Yes that the problem i have, and they said they tested it beforehand? what a joke. especially when want to kill the mvp you have to have a lot of people to kill it unless you have a super set up and can just solo it. gathering people to actually do the quest is already hard given that they have LONG PREREQUISITE to actually arrive to world eater part.

 

Today i discover another thing that will impede your quest progress if didn't done exactly right. if you exit the umbala map after talking to fairy at yggdrasil tree, WITHOUT talking to the boy to return to the ship, there's no faking way you can get back in and you ll stuck at that part and cant continue the quest. You didn't think of possibility that people maybe butterfly wing from that place, got dc or whatnot and talking to Muwuse again in Izlude just give you option to go to frozen land and not ship deck.

 

This event simply said a disastrous mess. and if anybody want to prove me wrong feel free to let me know because, I also want to know if can continue the quest at that state.

 

I DEMAND (yes I use that word, entitled? maybe but I dont care, the least you could do for us after pouring hours doing your quest) for GM to just give the title/ achievement or whatsoever reward to people that at least kill Atroce because theres soooo many bug/hardship/challenge to complete the quest properly.

I TOO just had that problem with my party. This quest was the biggest waste of time ever. We killed World Eater but only one person in the party received the kill  count for killing Lief and when we tried to re-enter, we had to kill World Eater again after we already got the kill count for him??? This quest is the buggiest crap I've ever seen. I hope those of us who still killed World Eater can still get the reward otherwise it's not fair.

Yeah... because you shouldn't actually have to put time into it rite?

 

In the past homunculus event lasted 2-3 weeks, some people didn't even have their homunculus ready for the event and not to mention the change in maintenance from thursday to early tuesday due to the holidays, players weren't aware of the patch notes til it was too late.

That we didn't try. What we did however was going through the portal, remaking the party and then facing the mvps again. But your idea sounds way more convenient if it works 'cause no need to kill World Eater again.

If you mean the guy in umbala field, then you can just go to umbala from kafra and walk outside and talk to him, he's actually in the real umbala field and not a quest map version.

Thank you for giving me that valuble info. As for passing lead inside the instance to get the killquest for each party member, it sound similar when trying to smuggle multiple people inside bijou instance. I hope it work out, hopefully I could organize another party going there before server close down.

Ok i try above suggestion and it spawn multiple valk which is fun because now instead of two we have four...... i give up man. This is stupid endevor. I shouldve just hang out with friend do central lab or something else rather this.

did the other party member got the kill quest?

I believe none gotten the quest at the end cuz triggering with dialogue you still need to be pt lead to get the quest I guess. and the last one being pt lead cant finish dialogue cuz died first from valk summoning. We had four people in pt. So my suggestion is just do one by one if you adamant on getting it done. Make sure the lead got the quest, kill it, stay alive. Dont die to EQ at the end. like someone else suggest lure valk away and kill isilla peacefully. To people with no gears no 175 no OP rich friend save yourself from tears and just move on. No point trying.
