I'm getting this error and no matter what i do, even if i close everything (including background processes) it still shows up...

Video of the problem: https://youtu.be/xKNqyH-z-IQ

I'm on the latest Windows 10 version as well as up to date, already tried disabling Windows Defender and every other program with no success.

You need to delete your cheats, then restart your computer.

Haha, not everyone is trying to breach the non-existant security this EAC brings. It would probably be faster than waiting for a fix even... but this is a beta and it's this kind of things that actually matter.

Unlike you i do want iRO to succeed, despite how hard the staff go out of their way so it won't...

If you are Using RGB lights or that software RGB something  it will be detected as a cheat.. just go to the task manager and end task those programs.

I'm not, i don't tend to install bloatware but it could help someone else i guess.

Just reinstalled EAC but now the server is stuck at "Checking server now", probably about to open the beta...

Not confident it's really relevant, but you seem to be missing some files from your game directory. Specifically, I see the license.txt file doesn't seem to be there? Or the game isn't recognizing it for some reason.

I doubt that's the actual issue, but if that file is missing, others could be too. You might try reinstalling/installing to a different directory and seeing if that makes any difference.

Though at this point I don't think the patcher is letting anyone through to the client anymore, so you might have some difficulty testing if its fixed.

EDIT: Ninja'd, but I'll leave this here in case it helps somehow

I'm also having this issue. I can play for about 10-15 minutes, then the game crashes with the same error. Then, any time I try to re-launch the game, I get the error.

If I reboot, the whole cycle starts over. I can't figure out why it's happening. I don't have anything in particular running, I've only got Windows Defender. I'm in Win 10 1903.

Adding some details:

When sakexe.exe loads, it tries really hard to create this file:

I:\Games\Ragnarok Online Transcendence\data\texture\english\À¯ÀúÀÎÅÍÆäÀ̽º\

I see about 400 CreateFile operations targeting that folder, all returning PATH NOT FOUND.

Mixed in those ops, I see a single one that is different:

CreateFile I:\Games\Ragnarok Online Transcendence\slicence.txt

This throws NAME NOT FOUND. I can confirm slicence.txt doesn't exist in that folder.

After the multitude of failed CreateFile lines is where I see about twenty threads exit, followed by ProcessExit of saxexe.exe. As it exits, it creates a bunch of registry keys:

unknown.png

It also, for some reason, plays around in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WinSock2. From this point, it closes, and then EasyAntiCheat.exe seems to do some cleanup of its own.

I've noticed EasyAntiCheat constantly ripping through my machine certificates and crypto capabilities. Don't know what it's looking for in there, but it's invasive as hell. Oh, and most of the time it tries to read certificate blobs from the registry, it blows Buffer Overflow.
