iRO Transcendence Closed Beta Update

December 18th, 5:30PM PDT

Updates

Please note that these notes will evolve throughout the day as we review bug reports!

  • Added Egg Creator NPC (Prontera 158 191) that will hand out any of the pets for testing
  • Added Zeny Giver NPC (near Prontera fountain) to assist with pet testing
  • Fixed an issue with the music in Morroc
  • Observer headgear will be made available for users to assist with testing
  • Certain weapons will be gaining random effects when they drop

      Please note that this the the first set of option groups. The plan is to expand on these as we do updates. These are intended as the low level options and to test our ability use this system.
  • Crimson weapons removed from the drop table and replaced with normal weapons
  • Pet System Tester NPC (Prontera 153 191) will now sell items used to evolve your pets
  • Falcon Breeder NPC for Hunter Class added
  • Fixed an issue with a missing Bismarc NPC used in the Blacksmith job-change quest
  • EXP Curve required to level is adjusted. It will require less exp to level at low levels and more exp to reach 99. This is to bring it in line with a level 99 level cap.

What about the Hunter's falcon? And the RT new mechanics (gear enchantments)? Aren't we going to test that? What about the navi system (wrong monsters/wrong map info)?

It looks like crimson weapons may be dropping, you probably want to take a look at that.

Also, how exactly can we differentiate bugged exp values from intended low exp values.

We will remove the crimson weapons. For the EXP values if it feels wrong report it and we will check on it.

I realize it may be time consuming, but can we get a list of what weapons will be getting random options (and if I can be greedy, their drop rates during testing?) I don't want to spend two hours hunting a weapon to check it out just to find out it wasn't even changed lol.

 

 

As for EXP problems, all the training grounds mobs need more exp I think. That would be Poring, Drops, Willow, Lunatic, Training Grounds Fabre, Spore, Picky, Egg Picky...Steel Chonchon I guess but I doubt anyone ever kills those.

So, with mob exp lowered instead of exp table adjustments, won't that make it harder for people to get guild levels too?

Why not just use classic exp table + monster exp?

I know is unpopular but I would like to ask for a rebalance on anubis monsters exp, i have always find silly that anubis is an essy-to-kill monster with high-end exp pool. Specially in early game episodes, breaking the leveling phase.

Players stop playing any other map in game just rushing their characters in that map as soon as they can. Maybe if you can 1/3 the exp it could work.

Can an NPC providing pet tamers also be added so we can test taming chances?
A list of all the new pets + evolutions that came in would be nice too (including the supposed loyalty bonuses so we can review those as well)

Agreed but it's a slippery slope because I could think of plenty of difficult monsters that should give more exp and easy monsters that should give less exp. Anubis is definitely the biggest outlier though.

Found a bug with Geographers (at least in yuno_fild08). While you attack it, it might uses its death animation, but it didn't die actually, it just gets invisible. Sometimes, it is like it got teleported and my hunter keeps attacking after rotationg and sending its arrows to somewhere I can't see. Other times, my hunter just stops atacking. If I go to where the Geographer "was", I will get attacked (yes, by an invisible monster). If I walk away making it "leave" my screen and come back, the Geographer gets visible again.

There is a DB for that kind of stuff. All they need to do is min/max and compare tables to see which ones are accurate and which ones aren't. At most, it can take almost a day to verify all the information. It's 2019, not 2002!

will be nice to have an npc to reset stats and skills to tests.... because we cant create more than3 characters and we cant delete to...

 

And the monsters xp is nor bugued.... the player exp table is!

When the items drop with loot rolls will they have colored hues based on the number of rolls they have? Other servers have used white/blue/gold for loot roll tiers. I can post a picture if you need a point of reference.

Also @everyone can someone test of GFist has an SP cooldown like restart did? We need that to go farrrrrrr away, it was quite awful.

Not sure if Gold and the other items that have a special npc on chaos are supposed to be like that on this server too, cause you can't sell them to the normal npc's

Jakk Presents shouldn't be dropping at all.
Also, since the exp/drops were carried over from Chaos along with the Jump event, can you check if the card drop rate event is active? Might be useful for the beta, but shouldn't be active when the game is released.

This. I'm trying to understand the purpose of this server. Classic exp (both monsters exp and exp tables) is much better for reaching end game content if the max level is going to be 99. Are we supposed to different maps and kill different mobs to 99? I'm genuinely curious, especially that there is a large demographic of 'classic'/prerenewal/pretrans/non-renewal players interested in playing this.
