(。 ◕‿◕。) Fever Fields ( ゜-゜ノ)

(aka Super Farming Maps)

 

(╯°□°)╯ What are they?

Fever Fields are special maps where difficult, champion-monsters spawn as monsters are defeated. Eventually, a boss monster will spawn if enough monsters are defeated! ︵ヽ(`Д´)ノ︵

 

(╯°□°)╯ How do they work?

For every 10 normal monsters defeated, a Champion version of that monster is summoned. When a certain number of Champions for all monster types on the map are defeated, a Boss monster will spawn. Champion and Boss monsters will have their own unique loot tables.

 

In addition to being tougher, Champion monster will have a special type assigned to it that gives it additional abilities! 

 

For example:

Tough - Higher HP Pool  :wall: 

Quick - Higher Flee  :waddle:

Ringleader - Brings it's own back up  :chat:

 

(╯°□°)╯ Special Loot

Champion and Boss monsters from Fever Fields will drop items that are useful for refining gear!

 

Gear dropped by Champion monsters will have their own special option table:

this sure feels pretty DragonNest-y with that progression, its nice also for the enchants.

Equipment drop rate?

Enchant option rate? Or they all equal among the spectrum?

1st, 2nd, 3rd chance option rate?

Looks interesting!

 

Spawning a champion every 10 kills...that's going to be a lot of champions lol. And the idea of bosses you can force-spawn yourself without having to wait for a timer sounds cool to me.

 

The list of enchants looks pretty cool too, though some of them seem very, VERY strong (10~20 Crit Rate?! On SHOES?!)

 

I'm looking forward to spending a lot of time in these maps 8D As long as the drop rates aren't horrendous.

Thanks, Camp. The team is really living up to your word. Hope this good work keep on so that WarpPortal can profit throught its competency for a long time!

Dont forget its against a certain race only. And i am not sure but maybe it just add 10-20% of your crit chance. Like, if you already have 10, it adds 1?

Aren't Champion monsters supposed to spawn every 100 kills, not 10 in zero? Making them spawn 10 times faster is going to ruin the market for the special items they drop isn't it?

Judging by the way kRO players seem to completely ignore all weapon drops anyways, that may not be something we can help regardless lol.

 

But even that aside, we don't know the drop rates for the items they will drop, so its hard to say how that will affect the market. A lower drop chance but higher spawn rate will result in basically the same situation, I would think.

Weapons with options only sell for 10z, which is why they ignore all weapon drops, plus weapons with options drop very often so you would need to carry around a ton of magnifiers and keep dropping them since they don't sell but still have weight. Champion monsters had a low (10% maybe?) chance to drop a specific item like boots with options, armor with options etc, which are not easily farmed like weapons since you needed to kill 100 mobs to spawn it and then also had a lowish drop rate. 

The option boots and armors are some of the best equipment in the game.

But pairing a very rng-heavy mechanic with really low drop rates would just be so much pain lol


Just imagine if vicious weaps dropped at 0.01% rate on renewal

iRO wasn't satisfied with fevers, they want to go for cardiac arrests.

I do agree, 10 is WAY too little to spawn these bosses. It should stay at 100 kills as originally designed.

They better have a script that champions won’t respawn on the map unless it got killed by somebody. Then you gotta have to kill 10 regular mobs again. Have fun teleporting on the map.

It seem you’re not reading notes.

Fever maps are still being prepared. We expect the data for the first ones to be in a couple weeks.

I think that every map should be a tough version of a monster.
They need to modify to more monsters drop weapons, garments, shoes, and armors. And I think that 20 is a good number of monsters to kill, cause the chance to drop probably will be very low and farm an
equip with a good option combo will be awful if they put 100 monsters to kill (imagine, you're on a map farming the fever monster when you are closer to kill the 100° to summon it, some random player appears and kill it on the map, it's a horrible feeling). Believe me, it's not so easy drop a satisfactory option equipment.

Yeah, you are right!
Maybe the developers don't agree with your number (20). But I hope any more than 5!
Only one monster would be extremely frustrating just like you said.
Let's keep showing how they can improve the gameplay settings.

Having the EXACT same feedback here. Increase weapon drop rate, not funny to have to kill million of mobs to drop a weapon with good option.
