ive tried to install this and when i first ran it it got about halfway installed, went through the installation things and then it said media2.cab was corrupt.  I believe then when I tried to exit the installer it locked up and i had to hit the power off button on my computer as my computer wouldn't shut down right after. every time ive launched the Ragnarok_Transcendence_Installer.msi file after, it either never finishes computing space requirements, and ever proceeds, one thing tho every time including the first it checks on computing space requirements it takes a long time.  it mostly gets stuck at that screen but it does get past it, if you click any buttons it will lock up, and won't let my computer shut down right. the msiexec.exe in my taskbar from it gets stuck. 

I have tried redownloading the media2.cab file first and ive tried redownloading the .msi file too.  Still doesn't run right.

So im unable to get this installed.  is there any other installer or something maybe?

Where did you get your game client from? What is your OS?

right from the site http://www.playragnarok.com/ and its windows 7 64bit.

Same Error here. I can't pass/igore the media2.cab corrrupt. But, I can cancel and shut it down

Ah. Windows 7 support is ending on January 14th , it may be difficult to assist the error properly if it happened later.

Though there's a solution to this error as suggested in this topic, problem #1-1.

can you tell me which one of those things is the one i need to do to fix my computer with?  Im going to stop bothering with this because i just formatted my computer when this happene,d i didnt know if i had a bug or what.  but i can't run .msi files on my computer now, and when i do they lock up.  and my computers stopped from running other types of files.  pretty useless.  im gogin to test if any of the few i ran before running this and it stopping work right now. i cant keep trying fixes when mmy computer gets trashed when I run this

no.  nevermind.  make a zip of it.  then i could run it.  maybe.

Yes, it may work if you install the game on another device with updated OS then move the game folder to your current.

There's limited support for RO on Windows XP/Windows 7, at a later update it is highly likely RO will stop working on those OS.

 

There's an old statement from the staff regarding XP support here, if you would like to check it out.

the comment about supporting newer os and not even considering older ones is the usual were not going to be backwards compatible line from windows as noone makes them but everybody isnt going to use it.  your not even doing anyone a courtesy by replying to people like this, this is an old microsoft claim of were the good guys, which they have stopped being.  its just i dont want ot hear it is all.  is my just reply.  i dont think this has anything to do with what operating system but, i think my computer and maybe some software problem but i dont know where to start.  since i also think its hardware. 

windows now, doesnt support anything else. and i dont support them.  why should i?  if your program is w10 only, ok.  but should label it like a adult site labels it.

ok, I havent tried it yet but, its probably a my computer problem.  and i found out what it was, some weird motherboard manufacturer installers stuff from their drivers, that messes up the volume shadow copy service.  in cmd prompt you can type vssadmin list writers and it will tell you if it doesnt respond immediately.   it was messing up installers and other weird things on my computer since i got this motherboard, for over a year now.

oh and its fine with me if you want to cater to w10.

My husband is having the same issue =/

when you finally keep retrying you end up being told cannot find minidumpwritedump... been installing new drivers and repair windows but they say all is well......long day.

If I find a solution, I will post... please do the same!
