I got scammed today for $650 CAD. The Anti-Cheat of this game sucks! Someone was able to prove himself to me that he is CM_Astra in the game itself and tricked me into purchasing 5 x $100 USD Steam Wallet Codes that he cashed in and ran away. I called SEAGM and they said all codes have been used and they will not refund me. I also called Paypal. $650 CAD that I lost in this scam! He was even able to make it look like he can make me a GM.

I got scammed so hard man! He was able to make my character look different, he was able to put 2 logins(1 is for GM), he was able to log me in via Steam (he told me to use Steam to login as a GM and normal RT client to login normally), that made it all look believable and convincing and therefore I trusted him. He was so eager and he was rushing me out. He is from Panama.

 

I got scammed man! Paypal and SEAGM could not even help me out and they will not refund me.

Man, that sucks... but im pretty fng sure there is an NPC at the entrance of the castle for noobs that say something something about GM's and how they should act... but hey, even thought you passed the tutorial, you apparently didnt READ IT! still, too bad man, sucks to have your luck

I no longer have any trust in RT discord. That discord is full of scammers and from that discord, I was able to receive an invite-link to a blackmarket discord that does RMT.

because the anti-cheat of this game sucks, someone was able to convince me that he is actually legitimate as he was able to modify the game.

the guy wants to bleed me to nothing man! He even asked me how much cash I have and he asked me to spend them all on gift cards. do you think i'm -_- stupid that I will not start to become suspicious?

Sorry for you, but I didn't think it was still possible to fall into those kind of scams even in 2020.

And to be honest, I don't understand a thing about what happened to you, because "scams" has nothing to do with the A-CS.

I'm sorry to hear about your misfortune. This is one of the oldest tricks in the RO scammers' book, and it unfortunately still works. I feel that another thing RT can improve upon is the clarity of some of the game's warnings; for this example, Gramps.

This is one of the oldest tricks in RO and here I am returning to RO after a long time. I didn't even came from iro but from RO:EXE which has less hackers. I don't know man!

I'm sorry bud, but that's on you. There are notices on the site about scamming gms and even an npc when you first create a character.

you know, I wanted to help this game by becoming a secret GM (something that he offered to me, not me offering to him), and guess what, you got scammed! He even offered to refund all my WP purchases.

And when he got you into Discord, did he tell you to download TeamViewer from a non-official website?
