that screenshot was his and I was able to get into the game and look like a GM as well and able to see him as a GM as well. Why else would I believe he is a GM in the first place?

He probably made you log-in into his private server. Which is totally easy to recreate.

Don't blame the game for your own selfish reasons, RO:EXE, never heard of it.
Do you realize that this is iRO? The official servers.

So yeah, it's an age-old scam in RO. It's actually quite important to read what Gramps (the NPC you meet when you first create a character) tells you. GMs will NEVER ask you to install TeamViewer or similar.

If you read what gramps has to say, 30 seconds after you create a character, you would see this was an obvious scam.

Nobody I have known or heard of who played the game became a iRO GM and believe me I've been playing iRO since 2004.

bro gm cant magically turn you into a gm. that was written by grandpa npc in novice ground lol 

 

 

looks like you downloaded fake ro client.exe or they tell you to install.exe or teamviewer and they just modied the grf of your sprite to look like and to function like a GM... grf editing is actually like legal. for graphic enhancement/visual effect in-game.. and eac gameguard dont block it lol

I didn't offered it to him, he offered it to me! I wanted to help the game by helping to moderate it even if they pay me nothing. He offered me a job, I said I'm honor to take it and do what I can do.

I know that you just lost quite a bit of money, but I hope this doesn't completely sour your experience with RO. It really is a great game, despite some of its serious flaws.

yea he wanted to help the game by sending a random 650$ after being invited to a real money blackmarket discord makes sense. you wanted to buy items zeny because you cant pass tutorial from gramps without reading it. I am new also and it clearly has like 3 questions in regards to scams/gm impersonators

You have a NPC that tells you what GMs can do and what they can't. No one get scammed randomly, everyone is trying to get some advantage.

 

Sorry for your loss, but if you used some 3rd place beyond WP virtual store to buy something, yeah, you just tried to get some advantage.
