It doesn't continue attacking if that's what you're looking for. And it seems difficult to replicate.

I discovered it by accident by initiating a conversation with the event Jakk npc before a random Lude attacked my Lif.
It doesn't seem to happen when you start your own "work in progress" events like casting brew skills or opening rodex.

Usually, my Lif stops attacking immediately after slapping the offending monster once.

You will not be able to have the homun attack for you while being AFK anymore. The update made it that you have to manually and actively command it to attack.

What's the use of having to manually attack for the homunculus?

It was better when the homunculus could auto-attack by itself specially when it's low level, now it doesn't even move or follow you by itself.

Or I am doing it wrong?

I wouldn't know myself, that's the intention of the developers.

Though, heard it was changed. Need to look it up sometime.

If it's intended then wow that's one way to make something so fun turn useless.

Should have never updated the Alchemist with an homunculus back then it's like cutting grass right off your feets. ._.

I believe it's intended how it is now. But apparently kRO decided to step back on this "manual attacking" thing and implemented a new patch later on.

With that kind of nerf they should remove the entire homunculus thing from the game.

Geeze, even their "improvement" is aggravating at best.

Seed of life cost around 45,000z with max discount you know, how long does that last?

Am I expected to spend 45,000 every ten minutes to use it?

And does that seem reasonable for everyone that created their vani for a 5% bump in item creation chance?

I'm not some ranker making batches of thousands of potions, I just wanted to make cheaper potions for myself.

OMG OMG OMG, please implement this in the next maintenance.  I do not mind spending the zeny to make my Homunculus great again...  But yea it sucks for people without a brewer.  And you know the item will go for 30x the amount it should in the marketplace.  Baby steps...

so Homunculus are useless now, one more >no fun allowed< thing from warpportal  :ani_glare: way to kill a class guys top level thinking right here, >lets make it so you have to tell it what to do and not auto attack with the player that will really piss the players off.

is iro going to impletment those "improvements"?
im getting really frustrated with my vanilmirth in pvp. i need to manually target an opponent before it can use caprice, and then sometimes the manual target bugs and doesnt target players so i cant even use caprice...
im ok with spending extra zeny if it means i can use my homonculus's caprice skill

Unfortunately, there's nothing can be done. Why not change your homun to Amistr? Castling seems useful in PvP

This is super sad. My favorite way to level with a homunculus was to just...fight alongside it. And the fact they won't even defend themselves is baffling. If you can't ground target their skills and can't have them auto attack alongside you...aside from brewers, I just don't see a point. I guess they can be a temporary meat shield.
