@OP It's always been like that so nothing's really changed, except that bc of the added layer ppl can now charge for doing it.
On topic, EAC isn't really cripling RO's resources, RO's client already did that, you're simply realizing what i've been complaining about all along. On EAC's behalf, the process itself can be set to low priority, regaining most of the performance it could take from any PC.
Since i resolved my issues, EAC hasn't given me ANY trouble at all, RO has crashed once since but no EAC error; and i've been here since the beta trying to fix it (a problem that existed even before EAC's implementation but was exacerbated by it), which i did, so i can tell you most of the things you're complaining about has NOTHING to do with EAC.
