Ive seen some talk about crit sins being rather solid for MVPing in RT. I was wondering how much merit this has and what builds i should be aiming for as far as stats and maybe starter gears i should be on the look out for. I dont care for PvP in RO as a whole so im not particularly interested in a "hybrid" for woe or anything.
any suggestions would be great!

Sin would not be a good MVP killer simply do to the fact that you are a single target killing machine with no skill to aoe attack, other than Grimtooth which is not ideal for mvping.
If you play in party, you would most definitely be a decent damage dealer.
I would say the most versatile mvp killer would be a knight or a monk, or a wiz that knows how to play properly.
